BTS Leader RM Hits No. 1
RM and Tablo's 'Stop the Rain' hits No. 1 on U.S. iTunes and may be headed for the Billboard charts ... More in a few days. LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - APRIL 03: RM of BTS during the 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards at MGM Grand Garden Arena on April 03, 2022 in Las Vegas, Nevada. (Photo byfor The Recording Academy) RM and Tablo have officially done it. Their collaborative single 'Stop the Rain' has climbed all the way to No. 1 on the iTunes Top Songs chart in the United States, giving both acts a smash, this time together. The track is now the bestselling at the moment (as of May 3) on what is often considered the most important sales platform in the country, and big things may be coming for the title. Given its massive first-day performance, 'Stop the Rain' looks likely to debut on several Billboard rankings next week. Actual sales figures aren't shared by iTunes, but the fact that it's been living inside the top 10 for a day and is now running the show suggests that it's a near-lock for the Digital Song Sales chart. It might even hit No. 1. 'Stop the Rain' could also make its way onto some genre-specific tallies. Depending on how strong those sales figures are, it might reach the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs or Hot Rap Song tallies. It will almost certainly make it to the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales and Rap Digital Song Sales lists. If interest remains high throughout the next few days, the song might even sneak onto the Hot 100. That would be quite the coup, especially for Tablo, though RM has landed on the tally multiple times in the past, both on his own and, of course, as a member of BTS. The joint single arrived on Friday (May 2) and wasted no time racing up the iTunes list. For a while, it was held back a few spots from the summit, as Rascal Flatts and the Backstreet Boys ruled with their collaborative rendition of 'What Hurts the Most,' but now the tides have changed. 'Stop the Rain' showcases a much darker, more introspective side of both artists. The track is built around themes of pain, guilt, and low self-worth, which is not commonly spoken about by South Korean stars. The single leans into old-school hip-hop influences, and shows the love that both musicians have for the art form.

J-Hope On The Upcoming BTS Reunion: ‘We Will Quickly Get Together'
J-Hope teases BTS's future reunion after military service ends, sharing excitement about how the ... More members' solo growth will reshape the group's next chapter. LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - APRIL 03: (L-R) V, Suga, Jin, Jungkook, RM, Jimin and J-Hope of BTS attends the 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards at MGM Grand Garden Arena on April 03, 2022 in Las Vegas, Nevada. (Photo by Axelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic) For years, fans around the world have been asking when BTS will reunite — and what the group will look and sound like once that finally happens. With several of the seven members currently fulfilling their mandatory military service in South Korea, the boy band has been largely on hiatus for years, leaving supporters waiting patiently for a proper comeback. Now, singer and rapper J-Hope has offered a rare update, as well as a glimpse into his own curiosity about what the future holds for the Grammy-nominated outfit. On Monday (April 28), Teen Vogue released exclusive comments from J-Hope's upcoming interview with Apple Music 1's The Zane Lowe Show. The full conversation is set to air tomorrow (April 29), but in the early teaser, the BTS stand out shares his thoughts on the band's next chapter. "I look forward to June when our members will have completed their service," J-Hope stated. That's when the last of the seven musicians that make up the globe-dominating vocal troupe will have finished the duty, which is required of all men by a certain age in South Korea. Then, he shared what so many fans have been hoping to hear for years now: "We will quickly get together and talk about what BTS can do in the future.' J-Hope added, 'I think it's going to be a massive energy." While J-Hope made it clear that the septet is eager to regroup once military service is behind them, he also reflected on how much has changed since BTS last released together. In the years apart, each of the seven artists has branched out creatively, launching solo projects and personal brands that may end up redefining BTS as a unit. "I think that over time, we each refined our unique identities as each of us work on their own music, come out with their solo projects and do their own thing," J-Hope explained. "The funny thing for me is when our identities, which have taken shape in various ways, come together as BTS, I'm curious to see how it'll look like." It has been almost half a decade since BTS dropped a full-length studio album, as the band's last effort, Be, was released in November 2020. Since then, the septet has shared several compilations, most recently Proof in June 2022, which offered fans a collection of hits, deep cuts, and a little bit of new material. Before the pause, BTS emerged as a true commercial powerhouse in the United States. The boy band has thus far scored several No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 and landed half a dozen leaders on the Hot 100. No K-pop act has ever matched BTS' level of success in the U.S. In addition to preparing for BTS's eventual regrouping, J-Hope seems to be quietly laying the groundwork for his next solo move. His last official EP, Hope on the Street Vol. 1, dropped in March 2024, and before that, he released his first solo full-length, Jack in the Box, in 2022. Going back even further, he unveiled his debut mixtape Hope World in 2018, during BTS' initial run of global dominance. He's spent 2025 doling out one-off singles, which may be leading up to another project of some kind. In just the past few months, his tracks 'Sweet Dreams' with Miguel and 'Mona Lisa' both reached the Hot 100, and he was also featured on 'LV Bag' alongside Pharrell Williams, Speedy, and Don Toliver.

BTS Doubles Up On A Billboard Chart In The Midst Of A Hiatus
BTS scores a pair of wins on the World Albums chart as Proof rises and Love Yourself: Tear returns, ... More even though the group is on hiatus. LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - APRIL 03: (L-R) V, Suga, Jin, Jungkook, RM, Jimin and J-Hope of BTS attends the 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards at MGM Grand Garden Arena on April 03, 2022 in Las Vegas, Nevada. (Photo by Axelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic) BTS is still on hiatus, as several of its seven members continue to fulfill their mandatory military service in South Korea. Some have completed their time, while others remain enlisted, leaving the group unable to reunite in the studio, at least for the time being. Despite this pause, the band's devoted fanbase has continued to consume the septet's music. Listeners keep streaming, buying, and supporting the band's already-popular releases, keeping the band's name alive on various charts week after week. This time around, the K-pop favorites double up on one ranking and match with several other powerhouses on a tally the boy band has dominated many times before. BTS manages to double its total number of current wins on the World Albums chart, the Billboard tally that has long been a home for K-pop acts. The band fills two of the 25 available spaces on the list, which ranks the bestselling albums in the U.S. that are largely performed in a language other than English or Spanish. The group's compilation Proof improves this frame, climbing from No. 9 to No. 7. At the same time, an older release, Love Yourself: Tear, finds its way back to the ranking. That full-length reenters the chart at No. 23. Neither of BTS's present albums are new to the World Albums chart, and both have already spent time at No. 1. BTS has conquered the roster with many efforts throughout the years, and Proof and Love Yourself: Tear are among the most successful. Between the two, Love Yourself: Tear is the longer-charting. That project has now spent 208 weeks on the list, while Proof — a compilation made up of previous hits, fan favorites, and a few new cuts — has thus far racked up 147 frames on the tally. Released in 2022, Proof arrived as something of a celebration of BTS's incredible career up to that point. The triple-disc set includes dozens of songs from throughout the band's run, as well as a few fresh additions like 'Yet to Come (The Most Beautiful Moment),' which served as its lead single – and almost cracked the Hot 100's top 10. Love Yourself: Tear predates Proof by several years, as it arrived in 2018. The effort became a pivotal release for the band, featuring smash hits like 'Fake Love,' which helped solidify BTS's power and popularity in America, and earned the group the first-ever K-pop No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Only a few acts manage to claim more than one spot on the World Albums chart this week, and BTS ranks among them. The band joins three other musical names that fill a pair of positions apiece: fellow K-pop outfits Le Sserafim and Stray Kids, and Afrobeats icon Wizkid.

Lady Gaga Trades One No. 1 Hit For Another
Lady Gaga's 'Abracadabra' returns to No. 1 on the Dance Digital Song Sales chart, replacing her own ... More 'Vanish Into You' and continuing her Mayhem-era dominance. LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - APRIL 03: Lady Gaga performs onstage during the 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards at MGM Grand Garden Arena on April 03, 2022 in Las Vegas, Nevada. (Photo byfor The Recording Academy) Lady Gaga is in complete control of one Billboard chart this week – just as was the case last frame. The pop superstar replaces herself at No. 1 on the Dance Digital Song Sales chart, a fairly uncommon move that shows just how popular she still is in the genre, even well after a decade has passed since she first made noise in that space. Last frame, Gaga debuted a brand new cut in the top spot. This week, that track slides to make room for another from her catalog, one that's already proved itself to be a fan favorite. This week, Gaga's 'Abracadabra' bolts from No. 4 to No. 1 on the Dance Digital Song Sales chart. The track originally ruled the ranking earlier this year, and now it's back on top. 'Abracadabra' is the latest official single from Mayhem, Gaga's current full-length. The tune has spent five out of its seven weeks on the chart in first place, and it may very well add to that figure in the coming frames. Just last week, Gaga launched 'Vanish Into You' at No. 1 on the same tally. The tune was an instant bestseller, even though it hasn't been promoted as a single from Mayhem. Instead, fans simply gravitated toward the track and purchased it in large enough numbers to send it to the top. Before 'Vanish Into You' arrived, 'Abracadabra' was already ruling the Dance Digital Song Sales chart. It had just scored its fourth week in the top spot, when the singer-songwriter traded one champion for another. Over the course of her career, Gaga has collected eight No. 1 hits on the Dance Digital Song Sales chart. That total includes both 'Vanish Into You' and 'Abracadabra,' which are now the top performers from Mayhem on this list. Interestingly, 'Disease,' the project's lead single, never managed to appear on the ranking in any capacity. Gaga's previous leaders on the tally include 'Stupid Love,' 'Judas,' 'Applause,' 'Rain On Me' with Ariana Grande, 'Telephone' with Beyoncé, and her iconic smash 'Bad Romance.' Last week was especially busy for Gaga on the Dance Digital Song Sales chart. In addition to 'Vanish Into You' opening at No. 1, she filled half of the entire top 10. That showing included five debuts: 'Shadow of a Man' landed at No. 3, 'Garden of Eden' at No. 6, her collaboration 'Killah' with Gesaffelstein at No. 8 and 'Love Drug' started at No. 9.
