Kanye West's Yeezy website goes down after Nazi T-shirt sales

The website of Kanye West's Yeezy fashion brand was offline on Tuesday after it began selling plain white T-shirts with a swastika. The site displayed the message 'Something went wrong' and 'This store is unavailable'. West, who now calls himself Ye, appeared in a commercial for the site that aired in Southern California during the Super Bowl. In the low-budget ad, the rapper was sitting in what appeared to be a dentist's chair, flashing a set of diamond-encrusted dentures, and saying he had spent all the money for the commercial on the new teeth. He told viewers he had filmed the ad on an iPhone and directed them to visit his website. Immediately after the ad aired, Variety reported, the website had a range of West's fashionware available, but it changed a short time later and began displaying only a single item – a white T-shirt with a large black swastika on the front, with a US$20 price tag. What to Watch This Weekend: 10 Best New Movies and Shows to Stream Now

Wondering what to watch this weekend? Shut your laptop, kick up your feet and sit right back down on the couch you may or may not have taken your last meeting in – it's Friday night, and it's time to start your movies and TV binge. This weekend, Feb. 1-2, projects ranging from (yet another) O.J. Simpson crime documentary to a brand new HGTV show are hitting streaming platforms. In theaters, two major releases are coming to the big screen — including one perfect to see with the whole family. Craving more of awards season but don't have cable? Fret not, the 67th annual Grammy Awards will also be available to stream live on Paramount+ on Sunday night. And there's more! Here's a list of the 10 best new movies and shows to watch this weekend and where to stream them. Dog Man is a family-friendly tale that tells the story of a police dog and his human officer who get injured on the job and, through a life-saving surgery, are fused together into one dog-man hybrid. Together, they work to stop their feline foe, Petey the Cat (Pete Davidson). Dog Man releases in theaters on Jan. 31. This twisted, fantasy love story between Iris (Sophie Thatcher) and Josh (Jack Quaid) takes an unexpected turn when Iris discovers that she is a rented sex bot — but she'll stop at nothing to get Josh's love. Companion releases in theaters on Jan. 31. You're Cordially Invited stars Will Ferrell and Reese Witherspoon as foes who are both trying to get their daughter and sister, respectively, married at the same place at the same time, due to a booking mishap. Chaos ensues and the two ultimately assure mutual destruction as their fight escalates (and somehow an alligator is involved?). Watch You're Cordially Invited on Prime Video. Simpson may have been acquitted of the murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman in 1994, but the world is still enthralled by the investigation. A new docuseries that premiered on Netflix on Jan. 29 delves into new details surrounding previously unexplored evidence — and features interviews with possibly key witnesses who claim to have seen Simpson on the night of the murders but were never called to testify in court. Watch Manhunt: O.J. Simpson on Netflix. Nearly two years after the appalling story of Amanda Riley, who faked a cancer journey for nearly a decade, was chronicled in the Scamanda podcast, the tale is coming to life in an ABC docuseries of the same name. While episodes are premiering on ABC on Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET, they will be available the next day on Hulu. Watch Scamanda on Hulu. Starring Netflix heartthrob Noah Centineo, The Recruit is back for season 2! The show follows a young CIA recruit as he's sent on a number of high-profile missions, including life-threatening espionage in South Korea. Watch all eight episodes of The Recruit season 2 on Netflix. Hulu's new political thriller, Paradise, stars Sterling K. Brown as Secret Service agent Xavier Collins. Things take a turn when he becomes the main suspect in the investigation of the murder of President Cal Bradford (James Marsden). The first three episodes of the show premiered on Jan. 28, with episodes dropping weekly through March 4. Watch Paradise on Hulu. HGTV is bringing fan favorites (and exes) Christina Haack and Tarek El Moussa back together for a new show: The Flip Off. The series also features Tarek's wife, former Selling Sunset star Heather Rae El Moussa, and was originally set to star Haack's estranged husband, Josh Hall, as well before the two split in July 2024. While The Flip Off will air on HGTV, it will also be available the same day on Max and discovery+. Watch The Flip Off on Max. Another pick for parents of young kids, Marvel couldn't resist putting out one more Spider-Man adaptation as fans eagerly await the next Tom Holland iteration, so now we have Your Favorite Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man! The animated tale tells the beloved story of Peter Parker and how he becomes Spider-Man in a style that celebrates the tale's original comic book roots. Two episodes are dropping weekly starting on Jan. 29 through Feb. 19. Watch Your Favorite Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man on Disney+. Music's biggest night is here! The Grammy Awards are back and will once again be hosted by comedian Trevor Noah. With a slew of exciting performances, including by Sabrina Carpenter, Billie Eilish and Shakira, the night is going to be one to remember. The Grammys will be streamed live on Sunday, Feb. 2, at 8 p.m. ET from the Arena. Watch the Grammys on CBS and Paramount+. Read the original article on People

Northeast Ohio artists hope to add to rich Grammys history

The 67th annual Grammy Awards on Sunday could mark a pivotal moment for artists from Northeast Ohio. Why it matters: The Grammys is considered music's biggest night, where a big win or memorable performance can launch careers or give them a major boost. The intrigue: Among those nominated are Cleveland native Durand Bernarr (Best Progressive R&B Album) and Akron's The Black Keys (Best Rock Performance, Best Rock Song). Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails is also vying for his third career win in the Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media category for the movie "Challengers." Several Northeast Ohio artists, including multiple Cleveland Institute of Music alums, also received nominations in classical music categories. Flashback: Should any of them win, they'll join these Northeast Ohio acts that had big moments at the Grammys: 1983: Groundbreaking Cleveland R&B group The Moonglows performs "Ten Commandments of Love." 1986: "America's Polka King" and Cleveland native Frankie Yankovic is awarded the first-ever Grammy for Best Polka Recording. 1989: Cleveland native Tracy Chapman becomes a Grammy darling, winning three awards including Best New Artist. 1992: Cleveland native Marc Cohn, singer of "Walking in Memphis," wins Best New Artist. 1993: Nine Inch Nails wins its first Grammy in the Best Metal Performance category for "Wish." 1997: Bone Thugs-n-Harmony wins Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group for "Tha Crossroads," the group's tribute to late rapper Eazy-E. 2001: Cleveland jazz legend Joe Lovano's "52nd Street Themes" wins Best Large Jazz Ensemble Album. 2008: Gerald Levert, who grew up in Shaker Heights, posthumously wins Best Traditional R&B Performance for "In My Songs." The same night, blues legend Robert Lockwood Jr., who lived in Cleveland for most of his life, posthumously wins Best Traditional Blues Album. 2012: Rapper Kid Cudi wins two Grammys for his work on Kanye West's "All of the Lights." 2013: Reznor (along with Atticus Ross) wins his first of two individual Grammys for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media for "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo." Reznor would win the award again for the soundtrack to Pixar's "Soul" in 2022. 2013: The Black Keys win three awards and deliver a standout performance of "Lonely Boy" from the upper deck of Los Angeles' Staples Center. 2024: Chapman joins country star Luke Combs for a performance of "Fast Car," her Grammy-winning 1988 song that Combs covered in 2023.
