Super Bowl Sunday is a big day for hosting parties, but people across the Miami Valley are hoping everyone has a safe, sober ride home. TRENDING STORIES: Practice grenade prompts bomb squad response to Dayton neighborhood Local grad gearing up for 6th Super Bowl Business closing after 39 years in Greene County 'I used to have big Super Bowl parties many, many years ago, but now it's just more so the intimacy of family coming together,' Octavia Clay from Dayton said. Clay says that as she got older, she noticed driving on big party days might not be worth it. 'It's more dangerous now than ever before,' Clay said. 'People are disregarding other drivers, they're mean, they're rude and in a rush.' The Ohio State Highway Patrol tracks crashes on Super Bowl Sunday every year. Last year alone, there were four deadly crashes, and it is the deadliest year on record, OSHP says. 'I never realized it was that. I thought people sit at home in one place,' Lewis London from Dayton said. Londay says he used to love to watch the game at parties and bars. He said he never thought about the dangers of people leaving intoxicated. However, these days there is no excuse for driving impaired. 'Get you an Uber or have a select set of friends who will get you to where you need to be. Those are good things to do,' Clay said. If there are any impaired drivers out, local police and deputies are out in force. 'Additional Officers are being assigned tonight to look for impaired drivers, do not expect the Montgomery County Jail to be the best location for your after party,' Huber Heights police posted on social media. Police and fire crews responded to reports of a grenade found in a house in Dayton, according to Dayton police. The man died at the hospital, police say. Middletown police are investigating this incident as a homicide. They have not released victim identification yet due to pending family notification, police say. Middletown police are asking anyone with information on the shooting to contact them.
