Asian champion label 88rising debuts Indonesian girl group No Na with ‘shoot' MV showcasing local scenes (VIDEO)
JAKARTA, May 2 — Renowned Asian-centric music label 88rising has today debuted its girl group, with Indonesia's No Na. On the label's social media accounts, the four-member group today released its English-language single titled 'shoot' — with a music video featuring familiar scenes from across Indonesia. 'look you in the eyes when i shoot no na - shoot (mv) no na wave sound,' it posted. In Indonesian, the word 'nona' is an honorific title used to address young, unmarried women or girls. 88rising had previously teased the group on April 29 — with a teaser set to traditional gamelan music that shifts into a modern beat as the members are introduced. The four members — Baila Fauri, Christy Gardena, Esther Geraldine, and Shazfa Adesya — were introduced dressed in distinct colours: purple, blue, pink, and green. The group is the latest Indonesian act to join 88rising, which has helped launch international careers for several local talents such as Rich Brian, NIKI, and Stephanie Poetri. There have already been Indonesian idols in the K-pop scenes, such as Carmen of SM Entertainment's Hearts2Hearts, and former Secret Number member Dita Karang.

Former Day6 vocalist EaJ drops new song Ruin My Life
KOREAN-AMERICAN artiste EaJ drops new single Ruin My Life, following his last EP When The Rain Stopped Following Me in 2024. After vowing audience who rocked up to Imagine Dragons's tour, EaJ is presenting a bolder and wiser side for his fans to decode as he dives in headfirst into the chaos of love and heartbreak. Ruin My Life is a daring reintroduction to EaJ's ever-evolving sound as an artiste. Layered with glitchy, futuristic melody, Ruin My Life is a sonic paradox that will not leave your comfort playlist. The layered track reveals an emotional turbulence shielded underneath notes of euphoria as it explores the tension between desire and self-preservation. Ruin My Life strikes a chord with fans that knows all to well about the reckless thrill of holding onto someone who will be the very reason of your ruin. A love story painted in neon lights and warning signs, Ruin My Life is an anthem for the lovers, hopeless romantics and adrenaline chasers. For the artiste, himself, Ruin My Life is not just another add to his discography but a statement of taking leaps and reinventing oneself. 2025 may just be the 32-year-old most ambitious year, as he takes the rein to write the perfect musical for his journey. A former member of Day6, EaJ has established himself as a solo artiste in Los Angeles, US. Typically known for his indie, alternative and R&B music such as Car Crash and Typical Story, EaJ continues to renew his sound while building a dedicated fanbase across Asia, as his songs have clenched a spot in the Spotify Viral 50 charts in the Phillipines and Taiwan. The artist has also headlined multiple festivals across Asia, including 88rising's Head in the Clouds in Jakarta and Manila. His growing fanbase in Asia also allowed him to embark on an Asian tour last year, with sold-out stops in Manila, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Bangkok. Ruin My Life can be streamed on all music platforms.

G-Dragon, 2NE1 to headline HITC 2025
Iconic K-pop stars to take the stage in LA K-pop icons G-Dragon and 2NE1 are set to headline one of the biggest global festivals for Asian artists in the US. Asian-American entertainment company 88rising has unveiled the lineup for "Head In The Clouds Los Angeles 2025," which will take place at Brookside at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, on May 31 and June 1. The festival's other headliners include Korean rapper Dean and Korean Australian R&B singer DPR Ian along with his crew. HITC is 88rising's flagship festival, launched to introduce Asian artists to a global audience. Over the years, the event has grown into one of the most influential music festivals featuring Asian acts. Last year's HITC LA lineup included Young Posse and (G)I-dle, drawing significant attention from K-pop fans worldwide. Ahead of the festival, G-Dragon will make his long-awaited return with his third LP, "Ubermensch," set for release on Feb. 25 — marking his first studio album in 11 years and 5 months. The album title, inspired by Nietzsche's philosophy, reflects G-Dragon's ambition to evolve into an even stronger and more formidable presence. Fans are eagerly anticipating his performance, expecting new tracks from the album to be included in his setlist. Despite his hiatus, G-Dragon has already made waves with two prerelease singles—"Power" and "Home Sweet Home"—both of which have dominated domestic and international charts. "Power" has surpassed 100 million streams on YouTube Music, proving his global influence. Meanwhile, 2NE1 has been touring since last year, marking the group's 15th debut anniversary. The quartet's 12-city "Welcome Back" Asia tour has drawn 220,000 spectators through 27 shows. Before hitting the HITC stage, the group will conclude the tour with a grand encore concert at KSPO Dome in Seoul on April 12-13.
