The 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown set had a blackout after comedian Joe Wilkinson's skit "went wrong".
The 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown studio was plunged into darkness after one celebrity guest's bizarre stunt went spectacularly wrong.
Host Jimmy Carr was back for the latest Channel 4 episode of the beloved hybrid programme, with Susie Dent and Rachel Riley keeping watch over the proceedings.
On this occasion, comedians Kevin Bridges and Alex Brooker took on captain duties, teaming up with Judi Love and Joe Wilkinson respectively.
As is tradition, guests bring along mascots to accompany them at their desks throughout filming, with some truly peculiar selections witnessed over the years.
When Carr enquired about Wilkinson's choice of companion, the comedian gestured towards an urn positioned on his desk, revealing it contained his late electrician's remains.

The presenter asked him to clarify his selection, prompting Wilkinson to repeat his explanation before fixing Carr with a deadpan stare.
Wilkinson then revealed that his electrician had harboured a final wish to have his ashes scattered into the programme's fuse box.
The comic subsequently seized the urn, made his way to the studio corner and bowed twice towards the electrical system in tribute to his departed tradesman before tossing the ashes onto the equipment.

Predictably, chaos ensued as sparks erupted and the entire studio was thrown into complete blackout.
Further sparks then shot from the famous countdown clock, with Love crying out: "My weave!"

Fortunately, the disruption proved brief as electricity was swiftly restored, prompting laughter and applause from the delighted audience. Joining the regular stars, a special guest was also invited to accompany Susie in Dictionary Corner.
Actor and comedian Peter Serafinowicz, known for his memorable character Brian Butterfield, made a special appearance on the panel series.
8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown is available to watch on Channel 4 and All4.
