A man has been charged with the murder of a 93-year-old woman who was found dead at a property in Cornwall. David Botham, 65, from Bude, has been charged with murder and is due to appear before Exeter Magistrates' Court on Wednesday. It comes after Devon and Cornwall Police were called to a report of a "concern for welfare" at an address in Cherrill Gardens, Bude, on Sunday afternoon. "Officers and paramedics attended, and a 93-year-old woman was pronounced deceased at the scene," a force spokesman said. "Her next of kin have been informed." Man, 65, arrested on suspicion of murdering 93-year-old woman in Cornwall
A 65-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a 93-year-old woman in Cornwall, police have said. Officers were called to an address in Bude on Sunday afternoon. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and her family has been informed. "It is believed the man and woman were known to each other," said Detective Inspector Rob Smith. "A cordon has been set up to allow for a thorough investigation of the scene to take place." The arrested man is from the local area and remains in custody, Devon and Cornwall Police said.
