Cool vendors, engaging demos and a focused approach to the art of creating practical effects and the creatures that haunt our nightmares, make the three-day con a must for fans of scary stuff. Fans of true crime should head over to this immersive live show led by retired LAPD homicide detective Don Tabak and produced by Jeff Timmons (98 Degrees) and Erich Recker (Criss Angel: Mindfreak). Fresh cases like Karen Read, the Idaho Four, or the Menendez Brothers are referenced and older ones OJ, the Hillside Strangler, and John Belushi get the full interactive treatment, from forensic clues to psychological profiles, all at the hotel's famed Panorama Suite. (Weekend dates available through July) The comedian and actor's last performance at the Bowl broke the Guinness World Record for the highest-grossing single stand-up performance ever, and his new show called 'Mortality' is set to be just as successful. Older Native Angelenos, especially Latinos, know and love radio legend Art Laboe, whose oldies and dedication-driven shows spoke for a generation. We loved seeing them discuss their beginnings in the recent doc Becoming Led Zeppelin, but the likelihood that the remaining members might share a stage together again is slim. This Jason Bonham tribute show is the next best thing, and worth it for fans as the drummer definitely inherited his dad John's skills on the skins. Nick Lachey shocked by Newlyweds success
Nick Lachey underestimated the impact of 'Newlyweds'. The hit reality TV series focused on Nick's marriage to Jessica Simpson and ran for three seasons between 2003 and 2005 - but Nick never imagined that it would become so popular. The 51-year-old star - who was married to Jessica from 2002 until 2006 - told 'Richer Lives': "'Newlyweds' obviously became a huge reality show. The only one that had come out before that was 'The Osbournes', which was also a massive show. But that show was created as a vehicle to promote music. "You know, my ex-wife had an album coming out, [I] had an album coming out, I'll do a little six-episode thing to promote the album. We had no idea it was going to take on this other life of being this reality fly-on-the-wall type of show. So that was totally unexpected." Nick initially struggled to adjust to being followed by cameras. However, the 98 Degrees star ultimately developed a strong bond with the camera crew, likening them to "family". He shared: "I remember at first they were like, 'Don't talk to the crew. They're a fly on the wall!' And I was like, 'Guys, if this is ever going to work, that's just not how I'm wired. You're not going to be in my house and watch my every move and we're not going to talk to each other. We got to get past that right now.' So I actually came to really love the crew. "I remember crying the day we shut down because you develop relationships with them. They really became [a] family." Nick's relationship with Jessica fell apart shortly after season three, but he still took some positives from his time on 'Newlyweds'. The 'Love Is Blind' co-host - who has been married to his second wife, Vanessa, since 2011 - explained: "What reality TV did for me is it allowed me to introduce myself as Nick Lachey, the person, to the world, and even guys around me [were like], 'He's kind of cool. I'd have a beer with that guy.' … It allowed me to become very comfortable being myself."

Nick Lachey co-hosts 'Love is Blind' with his wife Vanessa and says they follow a 'golden rule' to keep their marriage strong
Nick Lachey and his wife, Vanessa, host Netflix's "Love is Blind" together. He says they follow a "golden rule" that keeps their marriage strong, even while working together. "Try and keep it as separate as you can," Nick Lachey said. Working with your spouse isn't easy, and that's why Nick Lachey and his wife, Vanessa, have a strict rule about mixing business and their personal lives. During an appearance on Wednesday's episode of " Richer Lives by SoFi" podcast, Lachey spoke about what it's like to co-host " Love is Blind" with his wife. "I think the best thing you can do is not bring your work home with you," Lachey told host Vivian Tu. "Which is tricky when you work with your spouse, you know, and I think we do a really good job of doing that for the most part." The 98 Degrees boy band member says that he and his wife try to set clear boundaries: Whatever happens at work stays at work, and vice versa. "Sometimes you show up for work and there's an argument at home that you brought with you to work, and you don't want that to bleed over," he said. "I think it's kind of good to compartmentalize and recognize that, you know, you're here doing a job," he said. The couple started dating in 2006 and got married in 2011. They share three children together. They began hosting Netflix's " Love is Blind" in 2020, now in its eighth season. In 2022, they also started hosting another Netflix reality dating show together, " The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On." "So, I think that's our golden rule. It's 'Don't bring work home. Don't bring home to work.' Try and keep it as separate as you can," Lachey said. In a joint interview with Brides in February, the couple shared that they go to marriage therapy and set aside two days a week to prioritize their relationship. "Anything that's worth having takes work," Lachey told Brides. "To me, that's a cornerstone of life, and marriage is no different. There's no shame in that." Lachey isn't the only star sharing insights on what it takes to maintain a strong relationship with their spouses. Jay Shetty and his wife run a business together, and like the Lacheys, they avoid talking about work over dinner. Gordon Ramsay and his wife, Tana, make it a point to dress up and go on regular date nights. On the other hand, there are celebrity couples who would rather not work with each other — like Usher and his music executive wife.

98 Degrees members reveal reason why they are loved by Filipino fans
The '90s vocal group 98 Degrees has received an outpouring of love from their Filipino fans, thanks to their timeless hits and undeniable charm. But beyond their musical talent and good looks, what do they think makes them so beloved by Filipinos? During the group's guesting in 'Fast Talk With Boy Abunda' on Tuesday, Nick Lachey said that it is their love songs that connected them with their Filipino fans. 'I think more than anywhere else in the world, people here really truly love love songs, right? And ballads. And that's kind of what we've always been known for. It's our bread and butter,' Nick said. 'So, I think it's just a match made in heaven. You know, we sing love songs and everyone here really seems to appreciate and enjoy those love songs,' he added. Meanwhile, his brother Drew credited the Filipino music culture for their group's success in the Philippines. 'I feel like that's another thing. Like, music is such a culture of the Filipino. It's such an ingrained part of the culture that, you know, for us, we got off the planes here in 1997 and we were instantly, like, felt like we were rock stars and embraced. So, it really is a great relationship,' he shared. During their guesting, Jeff also spoke about the respect they have for SB19 and how it was on their wishlist to collaborate with the P-Pop Kings. 'We have a lot of respect for what they do. The K-pop elements and yet Filipino twinge and style and vibe that they have, we think that is a perfect storm and kinda connects with what we do,' he shared, adding that they would love the opportunity to collaborate with them. 98 Degrees, composed of brothers Nick and Drew Lachey, Jeff Timmons, and Justin Jeffre, is best known for the hit songs 'I Do (Cherish You)" "The Hardest Thing," and 'Because of You,' among others. The group is currently in the Philippines for their two-night concert at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on May 30 and 31, which will feature performances by OPM acts Janine Tenoso and Katrina Velarde. —Jade Veronique Yap/CDC, GMA Integrated News
