Is 98 Degrees collaborating with SB19? Vocal group answers
Is a collaboration brewing between '90s vocal group 98 Degrees and SB19?
In Tuesday's episode of 'Fast Talk With Boy Abunda,' group member Jeff Timmons revealed that they had previously been in discussions with SB19's management about a potential collaboration before the COVID-19 pandemic.
'A couple of years ago when we were talking about coming here pre-pandemic, we were in talks with some of the management of SB19 and there was interest there,' Jeff said.
'The other day I brought it up and it is something that was kinda on our wishlist. We've been in contact with them and we're trying to meet up with them while we are here. So hopefully it is in the works,' he added.
Jeff also shared that they have a lot of respect for SB19, especially for their craft.
'We have a lot of respect for what they do. The K-pop elements and yet Filipino twinge and style and vibe that they have, we think that is a perfect storm and kinda connects with what we do,' he said, adding that they would love the opportunity to collaborate with P-Pop Kings.
98 Degrees, composed of brothers Nick and Drew Lachey, Jeff Timmons, and Justin Jeffre, is best known for the hit songs 'I Do (Cherish You)" "The Hardest Thing," and 'Because of You,' among others.
The group is currently in the Philippines for their two-night concert at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on May 30 and 31, which will feature performances by OPM acts Janine Tenoso and Katrina Velarde.
