Community tip-off helps police nab armed suspect in Eldos
Members of the Eldorado Park SAPS Crime Prevention Unit, together with Gauteng Traffic Wardens, responded swiftly to a tip-off regarding a suspicious dark grey Toyota Tazz seen driving around Silver Street, opposite Jamilla Shopping Centre, on July 10.
While patrolling on Silver Street, officers spotted a vehicle matching the description parked opposite nearby flats, with one occupant in the driver's seat. The team approached the car and instructed the driver to exit.

Upon searching him, officers found a silver-and-gold Taurus firearm with a brown handle and live ammunition concealed inside the suspect's jacket near his waist and a black 9mm Girsan pistol with live ammunition inside his tracksuit pants' right leg.
They arrested the man and detained him at the Eldorado Park SAPS cells for further investigation.
