EastEnders provides emotional update on absent character

spoilers follow. EastEnders provided an emotional update on an absent character as the residents of Albert Square continued to mourn the loss of Martin Fowler. Tuesday's (March 11) episode of the BBC soap saw Kathy Beale encourage the male friends of Martin to confront their feelings, with the character taking a bold step as she gave the keys of the café to Harvey, Billy and Howie so they could grieve in private. After leaving the trio to reminisce, Kathy later confided in Harvey that she had visited her ex-husband, Rocky, in prison as he serves his decade-long stint behind bars for the arson of the café. Related: Visibly distressed, Kathy explained that she put off seeing Rocky but changed her mind following the death of Martin, adding that her ex-husband looked like 'he had done 12 rounds with Tyson Fury'. She continued by further revealing that Rocky had relapsed back into gambling, noting that he would 'never change' despite having the ultimate 'wake-up call'. After Harvey consoled her, the pair reflected on their memories of Martin. The situation saw Kathy and Harvey's connection develop, with Ross Boatman - who has played Harvey since 2021 - recently sharing that his character has always had a soft spot for Kathy, though admitted it might not be enough for them to be romantically involved. Related: 'Harvey has always harboured some feelings towards Kathy. She is someone he's always been rather drawn to since he arrived,' Ross said. 'He even took her out on a date in the Square for a bag of chips. 'He's always had a thing for Kathy but he buried that when she got with his best mate [Rocky] and he has a relationship of his own, so whether it goes anywhere or not remains to be seen.' EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast. Gino D'Acampo accused of intimidating and inappropriate sexual behaviour

Celebrity chef Gino D'Acampo has been accused of inappropriate and intimidating behaviour by multiple people. An ITV News investigation into the This Morning star reported dozens of people came forward with allegations against D'Acampo, describing his behaviour while working with him as "unacceptable", "distressing" and "horrendous". D'Acampo responded to the ITV News investigation, stating that he "firmly denied" the allegations, additionally adding that they were "deeply upsetting". One individual recalled a comment from 2011, when she was working on a magazine shoot with D'Acampo, who she claims told her he wanted to perform a sexual act on her. Another woman who came forward shared an incident from a location shoot with the celebrity chef who "opened the door in his boxer shorts" and made references to the size of his genitals, before "flicking it" while in the presence of others. In a statement issued by Gino D'Acampo's legal team, they said: "Mr D'Acampo categorically denies these allegations of inappropriate sexual behaviour." "To his knowledge no such allegations have been made against him in relation to his time on Gino's Italian Express and this is the first time, six years later, he has been informed of these alleged incidents, and he does not accept them, not least because some of this is considered by Mr D'Acampo to be a fabricated work of fiction." Allegations against the star span over a decade, with ITV News reporting that one unidentified production company was aware of multiple concerns raised by crew members - but continued to work with D'Acampo on further TV projects. Four production companies have since issued statements in light of the investigation, outlining their duty of care practices. Multistory Media stated that they ceased working with D'Acampo six years ago, while Studio Ramsay has not worked on a series with the star since 2022.
