Norman Reedus Says 'Yeah, For Sure' He'd Play Sam Bridges in the Death Stranding Movie

Norman Reedus is completely open to playing Sam Porter Bridges in the Death Stranding movie, if the opportunity arises. While promoting the film From the World of John Wick: Ballerina, IGN asked Reedus the question, to which the actor replied 'If it was an option, yeah, for sure.' But Reedus was quick to make clear that there were no plans for it whatsoever at the moment. 'I don't know what's happening with it, right?' Reedus says, 'It's so pre-pre [pre-production], but yeah.' The Death Stranding movie was announced by Hideo Kojima and A245 in December 2023, but no details were announced at the time. To this day we still don't know if the film will directly adapt the game, or rather be a separate story that ties into the game world. At the time, Hideo Kojima said ' A24 was born into this world about 10 years ago, their presence is singular within the industry, they are like no other. The films they are delivering to the world are high in quality and very innovative. I have been attracted to their creations and they have even inspired my own work. Their innovative approach to storytelling aligns with what Kojima Productions has been doing for the last 8 years.' The latest development was in April 2024, when the film finally found its director with Michael Sarnoski (Pig, A Quiet Place: Day One). No other creatives or actors attached to the film are known for the moment. The world of Death Stranding is set to expand this year, of course, with the release of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. In the same IGN interview, Reedus talks about his experience working on the sequel. 'As far as working with him [Kojima] and understanding where his head's at, I don't think anyone can understand that, he's just that guy, and he's got great ideas,' Reedus says, 'But story-wise, I did know what was happening more. There's more action in it, there's more of a definite goal to get to. It's always a trip working on those things.' Death Stranding 2: On the Beach June 26 for PS5. The Death Stranding movie is currently in production at A24.

M25 closures: Drivers warned of disruption as key motorway stretch closed this weekend

Drivers on the M25 have been warned to 'expect delays' this weekend, with a key stretch of motorway closed until Monday. The M25 between junction 10 (Wisley) and 11, near Woking, will be closed in both directions as part of a £317 million project to add extra lanes. Disruption will last from 9pm on Friday (7 March) until 6am on Monday. National Highways urged drivers to 'only travel if necessary' during the closure. 'We're grateful to all drivers who avoided previous closures and completed their journeys in other ways. We urge you to do the same again,' it said. 'If you do travel, expect delays and please leave a lot of extra time for your journey.' The M25 is the busiest road in the UK, with hundreds of thousands of users travelling on it every day. Work is being carried out to demolish and remove old bridges. National Highways is installing several new structures for pedestrians and cyclists to cross over the motorway, including the UK's first 'heathland' bridge, a passage with bushes and grasses alongside a path. The junction 10 project was scheduled to be completed this summer, but due to nine months of 'extreme weather', is now hoping to wrap up by spring 2026. During the closure, local roads surrounding junction 10 and the Wisley stretch of the A3 are expected to see a major increase in traffic. British Airways told passengers bound for London Heathrow and Gatwick: 'A diversion will be in place, but please allow extra time and plan ahead for your journey to the airport.' Alternative routes will take motorists travelling clockwise from the M25 at junction 10 to join the A3 northbound at Painshill, take the A245, then the A320 before rejoining the M25 at junction 11. For anti-clockwise drivers, National Highways said: 'Avoiding the closure by taking the M25 via the Dartford Crossing may also be quicker.' Drivers will face the same junction closure later this month. Diversions will again apply from 9pm on 21 March until 6am on 24 March.
