Norman Reedus Says 'Yeah, For Sure' He'd Play Sam Bridges in the Death Stranding Movie
Norman Reedus is completely open to playing Sam Porter Bridges in the Death Stranding movie, if the opportunity arises.
While promoting the film From the World of John Wick: Ballerina, IGN asked Reedus the question, to which the actor replied 'If it was an option, yeah, for sure.'
But Reedus was quick to make clear that there were no plans for it whatsoever at the moment.
'I don't know what's happening with it, right?' Reedus says, 'It's so pre-pre [pre-production], but yeah.'
The Death Stranding movie was announced by Hideo Kojima and A245 in December 2023, but no details were announced at the time. To this day we still don't know if the film will directly adapt the game, or rather be a separate story that ties into the game world.

The films they are delivering to the world are high in quality and very innovative. I have been attracted to their creations and they have even inspired my own work. The latest development was in April 2024, when the film finally found its director with Michael Sarnoski (Pig, A Quiet Place: Day One). No other creatives or actors attached to the film are known for the moment.
The world of Death Stranding is set to expand this year, of course, with the release of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. In the same IGN interview, Reedus talks about his experience working on the sequel.
'As far as working with him [Kojima] and understanding where his head's at, I don't think anyone can understand that, he's just that guy, and he's got great ideas,' Reedus says, 'But story-wise, I did know what was happening more. There's more action in it, there's more of a definite goal to get to. It's always a trip working on those things.'

How to watch the Green Games Showcase at Summer Game Fest 2025
This year's Summer Game Fest will feature a new showcase for games that highlight environmental causes and make direct contributions to real-world sustainability efforts. The Green Games Showcase, led by the not-for-profit PlanetPlay, will be held on Saturday, June 7 at 4:00PM ET (1:00PM PT) and streamed live on YouTube. PlanetPlay says the event will be "a celebration of game studios that have raised over $100,000 for certified environmental projects around the world." Those projects so far include Abundant Village, a regenerative garden project in South Africa; the carbon forestry project WithOneSeed in Timor-Leste; The Hongera Clean Cookstove project in Kenya; and The Teeny Tiny Truth, which aims to reduce microplastics in New Zealand's fresh water systems. The Green Games Showcase is one of several streams that are set to take place between Summer Game Fest Live on Friday and the Xbox Games Showcase on Sunday.
