Vehicle fire on Oxfordshire motorway with emergency response
There has been an emergency response to a vehicle fire on the M40 motorway in Oxfordshire.
Smoke was seen billowing and flames leaping from a car on the northbound carriageway of the M40 between junctions nine, with Bicester, and 10, with Brackley.
An eyewitness told the Oxford Mail they passed the car at about 9.10am as two fire engines arrived on the scene.

AA Traffic News is reporting that one lane is closed due to the vehicle fire as the emergency incident is brought under control.

Traffic is queueing back towards the Wendlebury Interchange as a result.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue has been approached for further information.
It comes as the second incident to plague the M40 in Oxfordshire this morning, after a truck rolled over on the junction 10 northbound exit slip road.
