Report: Nico Iamaleava misses final practice before the Orange & White Game
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — On3's Austin Price first reported that Nico Iamaleava was absent at practice on Friday. This comes just a day after On3 said Iamaleava and the university were actively discussing his contract.
ESPN's Chris Low reported that the coaching staff and players were surprised that Iamaleava did not attend the practice. Iamleava has been active and present for the spring practices that the media has been able to attend.
Three storylines to watch out for in the Orange & White Game
The Orange & White game will kick off at 2 p.m. on Saturday. All eyes will be on who steps out for the first drive of the spring game.
Low also mentioned that Iamaleava's camp wants an increase from his current deal of $2.1-2.5 million to around $4 million.
