Baltimore Ravens rookie Malaki Starks could be a starter immediately.

Baltimore Ravens rookie Malaki Starks could be a starter immediately. originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Baltimore Ravens have one of the best safeties in the entire NFL in Kyle Hamilton, and now they may have another star at the position on their hands. Advertisement In a recent article by PFF, they give some key players on every team's starting lineup, as well as some rookies to watch. For the reigning AFC North champions, they list rookie safety Malaki Starks as someone who could make an immediate impact. "With Ar'Darius Washington's 2025 season in jeopardy due to a torn Achilles in May, Malaki Starks has very little standing in his way from starting at safety opposite Kyle Hamilton," PFF wrote. "He was stellar during his three years at Georgia, earning an 87.5 career PFF overall grade. If Starks can live up to his first-round billing, Baltimore could quickly have the best safety pairing in the league with both players still under 25 years old." The Ravens selected Starks out of Georgia with the 27th overall pick in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. With the team allowing the second-most passing yards in the league in 2024, drafting secondary was in the team's best interests. Starks finished his final season with the Bulldogs with an interception, three passes defended, and 77 total tackles, four of them being for a loss. Advertisement The Ravens are coming off of a loss in the AFC Divisional to the Buffalo Bills, so Starks and the rest of the team's defense will be looking to help lead the team back to the playoffs to redeem themselves. Kirk Cousins trolls Travis Kelce for his back hair: ‘God bless Taylor Swift'

Kirk Cousins couldn't help but make fun of Travis Kelce for his hairy back. The Falcons quarterback weighed in on the photos of the Chiefs tight end that circulated recently during an interview with E! News earlier this week. 'God bless Taylor Swift for being good with that,' Cousins said. 'That's awesome. Good for her.' Advertisement Cousins assumed it was 'just genetics' that led to Kelce's fuzzy look. Getty Images 'Thankfully, I don't have to deal with that,' Cousins joked. 'But I'm in a locker room a lot. That's just a part of life. It is what it is.' Advertisement Kelce was spotted on Tuesday in Miami, where he at one point took off his black T-shirt to reveal a hairy back as he stepped into the back of a car. Last year, Kelce's brother, Jason, told a story about his sibling's furry body before Travis revealed a hilarious nickname he earned during his college days in an episode of the pair's 'New Heights' podcast. Getty Images 'When Trav was at Cincinnati, he would play basketball in the playground quite a bit,' Jason said of his brother's time with the Bearcats. 'And anyone who has ever played pickup basketball, you know there's shirts and skins.' Advertisement Travis said he sported a 'big beard,' 'long hair' and 'the chest hair, back hair, arm hair, leg hair' at the time. 'It's just a big ole Yeti out there, man,' Travis continued. 'All the homies on the court were calling me 'Big Yeti.'' Aside from getting spotted in South Florida, Kelce and Swift have had a quiet offseason together after Kansas City's 40-22 loss to the Eagles in Super Bowl 2025 this past February.

Ravens Derrick Henry Backup Labeled Among NFL's Most Underrated

The Baltimore Ravens have one of the best running backs in the NFL in Derrick Henry, but they also have a very solid RB2 to help provide an impressive one-two punch. In a recent article by PFF's Jonathon Macri, he outlines who he thinks is every team's most underrated player heading into the 2025 season. For the reigning AFC North champions, he thinks that player is speedy running back Justice Hill. Advertisement "Derrick Henry is at the forefront of the conversation around the Ravens' backfield as one of the top names at his position in the league," Macri writes. "However, Hill is the unsung hero of the unit, playing primarily on passing downs to provide Henry a breather so he can dominate on early downs. Hill earned a top-five PFF receiving grade (89.0) in 2024, bringing in 48 of 52 targets for 403 yards and four receiving touchdowns." One might look at Hill's 228 yards and one touchdown on the ground and completely write him off, but he provides so much more of a value to the Ravens than that. He can flat out get it done in the passing game, as he finished the 2024 season with just under 400 yards and three touchdowns through the air. With how menacing Henry is on the ground, having a back like Hill to complement him is invaluable. The Ravens fell short in the playoffs this past season, falling to the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Divisional in a close one. Hill and Henry will be looking to help the team make it back to the playoffs and hopefully even farther in 2025. Ravens Schedule Features 3 Must-See Matchups in First 5 Games

The Baltimore Ravens will enter the 2025 NFL season as one of the favorites in the AFC - as they typically are. However, recent playoff performances have put the Ravens under the spotlight as one of the teams under the most pressure to finally get over the hump. Advertisement They enter the new season with the ninth-hardest schedule in the league, and most of those tough matchups will come right at the beginning of the season. Here is an analysis of Baltimore's three must-watch matchups. Lucky for Ravens fans, they all come within the team's first five weeks of games. Week 1: @ Buffalo Bills - 8:20 p.m. E.T. - Sunday Night Football One of the most anticipated quarterback matchups of the entire season is how we kick off the first Sunday of the season. Buffalo, led by league MVP Josh Allen, will face the Lamar Jackson-led Ravens in a rematch of last season's memorable AFC Divisional round. It was a 27-25 finish that put the Bills into the conference championship game and ended Baltimore's season the last time the two faced off in 2024. Advertisement Jackson had narrowly lost to Allen in the MVP race at the end of the season, but the playoff loss brings a bit more sting. If it wasn't for a Mark Andrews drop in the waning moments of that game, the Ravens could have continued their quest for their first Super Bowl appearance since 2012. Now their first shot at revenge is Game 1 of the new season. Grab your popcorn. Week 3: vs. Detroit Lions - 8:20 p.m. E.T. - Monday Night Football Following a likely blow-over in the home opener against the Cleveland Browns, Baltimore will face another serious contender in the Detroit Lions. The matchup is also the Ravens' second primetime game in the first three weeks. Advertisement Last season saw another one-possession loss that will lead to a motivated 2025 rematch. The Lions escaped with a 27-20 win over the Ravens in Week 1 last season. Detroit has grown into one of the primetime darlings of the NFL, and feature an exciting offense, yet minimal postseason success. Kinda sounds like the Ravens. This will be a crucial game for the Ravens that could be a huge momentum driver into the final marquee matchup of this grueling early season slate. Week 4: @ Kansas City Chiefs - 4:05 / 4:25 p.m. E.T. The following week serves as another rematch for the Ravens. The last time Baltimore made the AFC championship game, the Chiefs finished off a 17-10 win to eliminate the MVP Jackson and go on to win the Super Bowl in 2023 Advertisement The Chiefs could be highly motivated in this upcoming meeting as well. They will be two weeks removed from a 2024 Super Bowl rematch with the Philadelphia Eagles ... so depending on that performance, this matchup with the Ravens could be a bounce-back statement win. A Patrick Mahomes vs. Lamar Jackson headliner will always be an exciting and impactful matchup. But surprisingly enough, it won't be a national showcase game. Baltimore's five-game stretch to start the season may be one of the toughest in the league. How they perform in each of these marquee matchups will be a clear indication of the Ravens' competition level moving forward. Most importantly, a strong start to the season will propel John Harbaugh's team into a less difficult second half schedule ... which the Ravens hope builds them the chemistry and rhythm they need to finally climb the AFC mountain.
