I hope you have your ice, bowl and Saratoga water ready. They tabbed social media influencer Ashton Hall, a former football player at First Coast High School, to help release the schedule. Hall became famous after posting his morning routine featuring dunking his head into a bowl of ice water to start his day. He did the same in Wednesday's video, before making the rounds at the Miller Electric Center. NFL rules proposal changes carry some interesting suggestions

There are some intriguing rules proposals for owners to discuss and debate this offseason. The Green Bay Packers are going after another team that wears green. The Packers are trying to get the Philadelphia Eagles' Tush Push banned. Ahead of the Annual League Meeting, @NFL clubs are proposing three rule changes for the 2025 season. A 🧵 1 /3 👇The @packers propose changing Rule 12, Section how it's currently written: — NFL Football Operations (@NFLFootballOps) March 19, 2025 The Lions are suggesting a rule that makes a lot of sense, getting away from an automatic first down on defensive holding and illegal contact. Too often, these penalties give first downs for fouls that are negligible. 🧵 2/3 — The @Lions propose changing Rule 8, Section how it's currently written: — NFL Football Operations (@NFLFootballOps) March 19, 2025 The Eagles would like overtime rules amended to make sure both teams have a chance to get the football should the game go into an extra session in the regular season because it is tied. 🧵 3/3 — The @Eagles propose changing Rule 16, Section how it's currently written: — NFL Football Operations (@NFLFootballOps) March 19, 2025 Detroit also has made a pitch for a rules change that many fans will agree with: By Detroit; amends Article XX, Section 20.2 of the Constitution & Bylaws, to amend the current playoff seeding format to allow Wild Card teams to be seeded higher than Division Champions if the Wild Card team has a better regular season record. From our folks at NFL Research, this is how the seeding would've looked for this past postseason under the #Lions' new proposal to seed by record. So AFC Wild Card weekend would've been similar (LAC home vs HOU though) but NFC would've been:LAR at PHITB at MINGB at WAS — Mike Garafolo (@MikeGarafolo) March 19, 2025 This article originally appeared on Touchdown Wire: NFL rules changes proposed for owners to mull at meetings

Frigid cold, snowstorm Tuesday could postpone Inter Miami Champions Cup opener at KC

Lionel Messi and his Inter Miami teammates are scheduled to travel to Kansas City on Monday to prepare for their Concacaf Champions Cup opening match Tuesday night against Sporting KC; but an Extreme Cold Watch and a predicted snowfall of 9 to 11 inches Tuesday might lead to the postponement of the game. According to two sources with knowledge of the game plan, both teams have been in contact with Concacaf officials and are monitoring the weather. If the conditions are unplayable, the game would likely be pushed back a day until Wednesday. Tuesday's low temperature is forecast to be 1 degree and the high is 9 degrees, but wind chill will make it feel like minus-17 to minus-6. There is a 70 percent chance of snow Tuesday. It is predicted to be clear on Wednesday, with a high of 10 degrees, and sunny on Thursday with a high of 12 degrees. The Kansas City Star reported that Sporting KC president and CEO Jake Reid addressed the weather issue at the team's media day on Friday. 'Cold is one thing; we'll see what the snow does,' Reid said. 'We'll be ready. Our concern is around safe access for fans to and from and clearing the parking lots and walking ways. The cold is what it is. Bundle up. Bring your blankets, bring your hats. No one should be surprised when they come out that it's freezing cold.' The game, to be played at Children's Mercy Park, is the first leg of a two-leg series, with the second leg scheduled for Feb. 25 at Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale. In between, Inter Miami plays its MLS season opener at home on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. against New York City FC. Frigid conditions in Kansas City affected a Miami Dolphins road game last season. The Dolphins and Chiefs played on Jan. 13, 2024, at Arrowhead Stadium in an AFC Wild Card game and the temperature at kickoff minus-4 with a wind chill of minus-27.
