Terror suspects planned to plant explosives at four locations in Vizianagaram
1 2 Vizianagaram: In a significant breakthrough, the Vizianagaram district police, in coordination with central agencies, allegedly extracted information from terror suspects Siraj-ur-Rehman (29) and Syed Sameer (28) regarding their plan to plant explosives at four locations in Vizianagaram. Sources indicated that during interrogation, Siraj confessed to having received bomb-making training in Saudi Arabia, while Sameer underwent similar training in Pakistan. Central agencies are currently investigating the passport and visa records of Siraj and Sameer to determine whether their international travel was conducted using genuine or fabricated documents. Officials are also examining the duo's bank accounts to trace the financial sources used for procuring explosives. Information regarding the Al-Hind Ittehadul Muslimeen (AHIM) group was extracted, which was allegedly founded by Siraj and Sameer. The agencies observed that certain sleeper cell members from various regions across the country were associated with the group. Siraj travelled to Mumbai a few months prior and met several AHIM members, later journeying to Delhi in January this year for further meetings. Revenue staffer from Visakhapatnam comes under police lens for terror link
VIZIANAGARM: Police, in coordination with the National Investigation Agency (NIA), and other central agencies, concluded the second day of interrogation of terror suspects Siraj and Sameer on Saturday. Investigators obtained crucial details about their social media activity, financial sources for making IEDs, and broader terror links. Preliminary probe revealed that Siraj came under the radar of terrorist groups after posting a comment on a video featuring Hyderabad BJP MLA Raja Singh. He received online praise from an unknown individual for 'raising his voice' for Islam, and a person believed to be a Visakhapatnam revenue department employee. This interaction reportedly led to the formation of the AHIM group. Vizianagaram police have now launched a probe to identify and question the said government employee. NIA officials reportedly uncovered key information about the Al-Hind Ittehadul Muslimeen (AHIM) group, allegedly run by Siraj and Sameer. The duo is believed to have used social media to radicalise youth, urging them to sacrifice their lives in pursuit of jihad and convert India into an Islamic state. The investigation has widened to trace AHIM affiliates in Telangana, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka.

NIA to investigate terror link issue
Vizianagaram: The locals, police have shocked after two were arrested with the terror links from this Vizianagaram town. The police have recently arrested Siraj-ur Rehman (29) of Vizianagaram in Andhra Pradesh and Sayeed Sameer (28), a resident of Bohiguda in Secunderabad. As per the police, Siraj has completed engineering and his father is an additional sub inspector and brother is a constable in Vizianagaram and Sameer is a lift operator at Hyderabad. The both have formed a group by the name Al-Hind Ittehadul Muslimeen (AHIM) to undertake their operations and activities in the two Telugu states. Interestingly the both have purchased some explosive material online and tried to undertake a trial bomb blast in Vizianagaram. Even they are in contact with their handler at in Saudi Arabia through social media. Police is suspecting that their handler belongs to ISIS and he has been in touch with these two and guiding them in terror activities. Anyhow, the National investigation Agency (NIA) is investigating the case and the local police is tightened their lips in this regard. The NIA is going deep to find out their handler at Saudi Arabia. They allegedly planned to test the explosives on May 21 or 22. Actually, Siraj came to Hyderabad to prepare for the Group-2 exam and developed friendship with Sameer. Later, Siraj came back to Vizianagaram to write the exam. He allegedly ordered explosive m police have recovered all these materials from the house of Siraj during raids. Later the both were arrested and sent them to judicial custody for 14 days. Now the police is trying get those duo into police custody. After getting them into custody, they are supposed to get some more details during interrogation.

Two Arrested for Planning to Bomb Telangana, Andhra Pradesh
Police from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have arrested two men, Siraj and Sameer, who were planning to carry out bomb blasts in the two states. The police found materials used to make bombs with them. Siraj is from Vizianagaram in Andhra Pradesh, and Sameer is from Bhoiguda in Hyderabad. They were arrested after the police got information about their plans. The two men were working with people from another country, who were giving them instructions. The police first arrested Siraj in Vizianagaram and found explosive materials like ammonia, sulfur, and aluminum powder at his house. After questioning him, the police arrested Sameer in Hyderabad and took him to Vizianagaram. Both men were sent to jail for 14 days. Siraj and Sameer formed a group called Al Hind Ittehadul Muslimeen (AHIM), with Siraj as the leader and Sameer as his assistant. They were getting help from a person in Saudi Arabia, who was giving them orders through Instagram. Siraj had moved to Hyderabad, saying he was preparing for exams, but he met with Sameer many times to plan their attacks. They planned to do a test bomb blast first and then carry out more attacks. They wanted to bomb different places in India and were getting the chemicals and information needed to make bombs. The police are still investigating and trying to stop any future attacks.
