Kansas State's baseball team is in NCAA Tournament survival mode when it faces Houston Christian on Saturday in a 2 p.m. elimination game in the Austin Regional at UFCU Disch-Falk Field in Austin, Texas.
The third-seeded Wildcats (31-25) dropped a 10-2 decision to No. 2 Texas-San Antonio in the opening round Friday night and must get past No. 4 seed Houston Christian in order to stay alive. Houston Christian fell to top seed Texas on Friday, 7-1.

K-State was just 1-for-10 with two outs and 0-for-6 with runners in scoring position while leaving nine men on base in the loss to UTSA. Their runs scored on a bases-loaded sacrifice fly by AJ Evasco in the fourth inning and a pinch hit home run by Nick English in the seventh.
The loss snapped a six-game losing streak in NCAA regional games for K-State.
A five-run fifth inning by Texas did in Houston Christian in its first-round loss. The Huskies outhit Texas, 8-7, but had three errors that led to six unearned runs for the Longhorns.

Kansas State outfielder AJ Evasco drove in one of the Wildcats' two runs with a sacrifice fly in their 10-2 loss to UTSA on Friday in the first round of the NCAA Austin Regional.
