Branch members and residents dedicated over 67 minutes to cleaning and painting the school on July 19, emphasising its role in shaping young minds.
Mapula Diase, ANC Ward 79 secretary, expressed pride in the effort. 'We came together, as ANC volunteers, to celebrate Mandela Day by carrying out a cleaning campaign. We recognise that hygiene is vital for our children's health and well-being. Our aim is to create a clean, safe, and inspiring environment for learners to succeed.'
This act of service reflects Mandela's lifelong commitment to education and community upliftment, highlighting the collective responsibility to build a better future.
Beyond cleaning, the branch also donated 19 pairs of school shoes to support learners who need extra help.
