Mohammad Haris hit a swashbuckling maiden international century to guide Pakistan to a 3-0 clean sweep of Bangladesh with a seven-wicket win in the third and final Twenty20 international at Gaddafi Cricket Stadium in Lahore on Sunday night. Haris, playing in his 17th T20I, carted seven sixes and eight boundaries in his 107 off just 46 balls as Pakistan chased down a challenging 197-run target in 17.2 overs for their first home T20I series win in three-and-a-half years. Pakistan won the first two matches by 37 and 57 runs at the same venue. Parvez Hossain smashed four sixes and seven boundaries in his solid 34-ball 66 to lift Bangladesh to 196-6 in their 20 overs. AP Pakistan lost Sahibzada Farhan for one in the first over but Haris, whose hundred came up off 45 balls, added 92 for the second wicket with Saim Ayub and an unbroken 60 for the fourth with Salman Agha who made 15 not out. Ayub hit four sixes and two boundaries in his 29-ball 45 while Hasan Nawaz scored 13-ball 26 as the home batters enthralled a near-capacity 30,000 crowd at Gaddafi Stadium. The Parvez-Tanzid stand gave Bangladesh an ideal start for their highest T20I total against Pakistan beating the 175-6 they made against them at Pallekele in 2012. Towhid Hridoy, who scored 25 from 18 balls with a six and two boundaries, then added 49 for the third wicket with Litton Das who made 22. Fast bowlers Abbas Afridi (2-26) and Hasan Ali (2-38) were the pick of the home bowlers. Agence rance-Presse

Pahalgam attack: Shahid Afridi calls Indian Army 'useless', demands proof of Pakistan's involvement
Former Pakistan all-rounder and captain Shahid Afridi also slammed the Indian media's coverage of the deadly terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam last week, which left 26 people dead with a majority of them being tourists. read more Shahid Afridi has slammed India for pinning the blame of the Pahalgam terror attack on Pakistan. AP Pakistan cricket legend Shahid Afridi pinned the blame of the deadly Pahalgam terror attack on the Indian Army, calling them 'incompetent' for their inability to protect civilians from terrorists. The former all-rounder's comments came nearly a week after 26 people, mostly tourists, were killed in the deadliest terror attack on civilians on Indian soil since the 26/11 attacks in 2008. 'Even if a cracker bursts in India, they blame it on Pakistan': Afridi Afridi, known for making controversial statements from time to time, also asked India to provide proof of Pakistan's involvement in the incident before blaming their neighbours while slamming the Indian media's coverage of the tragedy. 'Even if a cracker bursts in India, they blame it on Pakistan. You have an 8 lakh-strong army in Kashmir, yet this happened. This means you are useless, not being able to provide security to people,' Afridi said on Pakistani news channel Samaa TV. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD 'It's surprising that within an hour of the attack, their media turned into Bollywood. For God's sake, don't make everything Bollywood. I was astonished I was enjoying the way they were talking. 'I was saying, look at their thinking, and they call themselves educated. Two cricketers have played so much cricket for India. They have been ambassadors and top cricketers, yet they directly blame Pakistan,' he added. The Indian government has responded to the deadly incident, which took place at the Baisaran Valley in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam on Tuesday, by suspending the Indus Water Treaty as well as closing the Attari-Wagah checkpost and suspending all visas for Pakistani nationals. The Board of Control for Cricket in India, meanwhile, is considering the prospect of completely boycotting Pakistan in international cricket. While India and Pakistan have not played bilateral cricket for more than a decade, they continue to face each other in ICC and Asian events, finding themselves in the same group when the tournament is not played in a round-robin format. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD Ex-India captain Sourav Ganguly is among the former Indian cricketers who have supported the idea of a total cricketing boycott of Pakistan. '100 per cent, this (breaking ties with Pakistan) should be done. Strict action is necessary. It is no joke that such things happen every year. Terrorism cannot be tolerated,' 'Dada' had said on Friday.
