Blackpink to make Philippine stop in 'Deadline' world tour in November
Blackpink is bringing their "Deadline" world tour to the Philippines! The South Korean girl group announced on Tuesday that they will be holding a two night show at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan on November 22 and 23. Ticketing details have yet to be announced. The world tour kicks off at the Goyang Stadium in South Korea on July 5 and 6 and will span across several cities in Europe, United States, London, and Asia. 'Deadline' will be BLACPINK's third solo concert in the Philippines. They were in the Philippines in 2023 for their 'Born Pink' concert at the Philippine Arena. Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa have been releasing solo music in recent months. Rose is best known for her hit song 'APT.' with Bruno Mars and dropped her debut solo album 'Rosie' in 2024. Jisoo released her debut solo album 'Amortage' in February. In March, she was in Manila for her Lights, Love, Action solo fan meet. Jennie released her debut solo album 'Ruby' in March which includes the singles 'Like Jennie' and 'Handlebars' featuring Dua Lipa. BLACKPINK's Rosé, NewJeans win big at Music Awards Japan 2025; know when and where to watch Day 2 event live
K-pop stars once again made their influence felt by bagging prestigious awards in international events like the Music Awards Japan. The first edition of the event is to take place on May 22 and 23, 2025. Day 1 of the award show bestowed accolades on BLACKPINK member Rosé and NewJeans, as reported by K-media outlet Chosun Biz. K-pop fans are thrilled at the girl group members' achievement. Find out how to stream the event live and catch the winners accept their honors. BLACKPINK 's Rosé won the Best International Pop Song in Japan award for her hit single APT., featuring Bruno Mars. Meanwhile, popular fourth-gen girl group NewJeans took home the Best K-pop Song in Japan award for their track Ditto. The main awards ceremony for day 1 of the Music Awards Japan will be held live on May 22 and its live broadcast will start 30 minutes after the ceremony's commencement. Watch the event live at 7:30 PM JST (4 PM IST). Day 2 will be broadcast at the same time on May 23. Japanese viewers can also catch it live on NHK television channel. Rosé's APT. has become a global phenomenon right after its release. Japan, too, couldn't escape its charms and it got nominated for the big title of Song of the Year. Besides Rosé and NewJeans, two other K-pop groups, aespa and rising stars PLAVE, have also bagged nominations at the Music Awards Japan 2025. aespa with Supernova and PLAVE with Way 4 Luv, are nominated for Best Song Asia. The main ceremony will reveal the winners of six main categories—Song of the Year, Artist of the Year, New Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Top Global Hit from Japan, and Best Song Asia. The Music Awards Japan 2025 aims at recognizing outstanding achievements in music, with winners selected by a panel of over 5,000 professionals from the Japanese music industry, spanning 62 distinct categories.

Rose's new single 'Messy' debuts on British music chart
"Messy," the latest single by Rose, the K-pop sensation behind the global smash-hit song "APT.," has debuted on the UK Official Singles Chart. "Messy" has debuted at No. 100 on the weekly music chart, while "APT.," featuring Bruno Mars, remained steady at No. 26, marking its 30th straight week on the chart The new song serves as an original soundtrack for the new Hollywood sports action drama film "F1," featuring Brad Pitt. Blackpink's Rose, Jennie only K-pop presence on Billboard main charts this week
Rose and Jennie of Blackpink are the only K-pop names on Billboard's main charts dated May 10. Rose claimed another week on the Hot 100 chart with 'APT.,' sliding down four rungs to No. 20. This extended the stay on the main singles chart to 28th weeks, renewing her own record for a K-pop female singer. Jennie's first solo album 'Ruby' is spending its eighth straight week on the Billboard 200, ranking No. 119, down 34 rungs from the previous week. Rose's first solo set 'Rosie' is enjoying its 21st week on the main albums chart at No. 127. Meanwhile, three Blackpink members attended the 2025 Met Gala in New York on Monday — Jennie donned Chanel, Rose went in Yves Saint Laurent accented with Tiffany & Co. jewelry, and Lisa wore Louis Vuitton.

Blackpink members stay strong on Billboard's Hot 100
Rose of Blackpink added another week to her record stay on Billboard's Hot 100. 'APT.,' her smash hit collaboration with Bruno Mars, ranked No. 16 on the main singles chart, down three rungs from the previous week, and extended her presence on it to 27th week, the most for a K-pop female singer. The single peaked at No. 3, the highest spot for a K-pop female musician on the chart. Her first solo album 'Rosie,' which the single is part of, ranked No. 110 on Billboard 200. Jennie's 'Like Jennie' is No. 99 on Hot 100 and her first solo album 'Ruby' No. 85 on Billboard 200. The single slid down three rungs from the previous week when it resurfaced after her much-hyped solo debut at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. It first entered the chart at No. 83.
