PFI made hit list of 950 people: NIA to court
Objecting to the bail applications of four activists of banned Popular Front of India (PFI) in the 2022 murder of an RSS worker, NIA informed a special court that the Muslim outfit prepared a hit list of 950-odd persons from other communities to be eliminated.
The NIA submission has figured in the order of the special court in Kochi, which on June 11 had rejected the bail application of four PFI workers, who were arrested in the murder of RSS worker A Sreenivasan in Palakkad in April 2022. Out of 73 alleged accused, 58 were arrested.
The NIA, in its submission, said PFI wanted to eliminate those who go against the interest of the organisation. Through their 'Reporters Wing', a quasi-intelligence division of the PFI, the outfit collected information of prominent personalities, leaders of other communities, especially the Hindu community. The data is compiled at the district-levels and communicated to the state hierarchy. The details are regularly updated and utilised to 'target' the individuals.
It said PFI had trained its cadres for collection of such data and had stored them besides providing the same to their assault teams in 'Service Wing' for attack as and when decided by their leadership.
