UP government takes National Family Benefit Scheme process online, people to receive benefits within 75 days
Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], June 14 (ANI): The beneficiaries under the National Family Benefit Scheme will now be able to avail the benefits of the scheme while sitting at home, as the Uttar Pradesh government has taken the entire process from application to payment online. Under this new system, the UP government has made sure that the assistance amount is made available to the eligible applicants within 75 days from the date of application, according to a statement. In case the payment is not received within the deadline, the payment will be made immediately after taking approval from the committee at the district level itself, removing the hassle of taking approval at the state level in case of delays. To implement the scheme effectively. The Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath-led government has directed District Social Welfare Officers to prepare a final list of eligible beneficiaries will be prepared and present it before the approval committee within seven days. After this, the list will be uploaded on the portal with a digital signature, and the amount will be transferred to the Aadhar-linked bank account through the Public Financial Management System (PFMS), according to the statement. UT intensifies implementation of PM Vishwakarma scheme
1 2 3 Chandigarh: The department of industries has undertaken a proactive and structured approach in implementing PM Vishwakarma Scheme , a flagship initiative of the govt of India aimed at empowering traditional artisans and craftspeople across the country. As part of its ongoing efforts, over 2,400 artisans are registered under the scheme in Chandigarh. Out of the 2,400 artisans, 1,400 were registered in the last three months through concerted efforts such as camps. "With sustained outreach activities and field-level engagement, the administration is committed to expanding the beneficiary base across the UT," said Nishant Kumar Yadav, secretary, industries. The scheme aims to cover traditional artisans under the following 18 trades as identified by the govt of India: Carpenter (suthar/badhai), boat maker, armourer, metal smith, hammer & tool kit maker, locksmith, goldsmith (sonar), potter (kumhaar), sculptor (moortikar, stone carver), stone breaker, cobbler (charmkar)/shoesmith/footwear artisan, mason (raajmistri), basket/mat/broom maker/coir weaver, doll & toy maker, barber (naai), garland maker (malakaar), washerman (dhobi), tailor (darzi), carpenter (suthar/badhai), boat maker, armourer, metal smith, hammer & tool kit maker, locksmith, goldsmith (sonar), fishing net maker. Yadav said, "The department has planned a series of 20 targeted registration camps during May 2025 in key urban villages and informal settlement areas such as Dadumajra, Indira Colony, Mauli Pind, Makhan Majra, and Sector 32, with an aim to register maximum beneficiaries with support from citizen service centres (CSC), area councillors, National Urban and Livelihood Mission (NULM). The registration process is smooth and requires an applicant to have an updated Aadhar Card, Aadhar-linked mobile number, and an active bank account. " The implementation also includes strong progress under the training and credit support components. Beneficiaries are being linked with certified training institutions to build skills under the designated trades. Efforts are also being made to streamline the loan disbursement process through consistent coordination with banks and financial institutions. "With focused execution, inter-agency coordination, and continued community engagement, UT Chandigarh, is determined to ensure that traditional artisans receive full benefits under PM Vishwakarma. The administration remains committed to honouring India's rich legacy of craftsmanship and supporting local livelihoods through structured and inclusive development. PM-KISAN scheme: Special registration camps will be held in Virudhunagar district till May 31
Special camps for registration of farmers under the PM-KISAN scheme is underway at the office of Joint Director (Agriculture) in Virudhunagar and offices of Assistant Director (Agriculture) in all blocks, India Post Payments Bank and Common Service Centres in Virudhunagar district. The special camps will be held till May 31. With the payment of the 20th instalment scheduled in June, all eligible farmers should register their land-related details, Aadhar-linked bank accounts and e-KYC should be corrected, Virudhunagar Collector V. P. Jeyaseelan said. He added that among the farmers who had got the 19th instalment of assistance under the scheme, 16,493 have not registered their land details. These farmers should register these details to get the 20th instalment of benefit. Farmers who have been left out of the scheme should register their land details in the PM-KISAN website and produce the identity number for registration under the scheme. To stop payment of benefits to the deceased farmers, their death certificate should be registered in the website. Besides, the legal heir of the deceased farmers can apply for the benefit by registering themselves, the statement added.
