A Franklin, Tennessee, woman has been arrested in an alleged murder-for-hire plot against her ex-husband, a former local news television anchor, police said. Angelia "Angie" Solomon, 55, was charged with solicitation to commit first-degree murder against her ex-husband, Aaron Solomon. She appeared in Tennessee's 21st Judicial District Court on Monday morning and was reportedly assigned a public defender. She is being held in the Williamson County jail on a $500,000 bond, and was set to have a bond hearing Tuesday. Franklin police arrest woman for alleged plot to kill ex-husband, who's a former TV anchor

A Franklin woman is facing charges for conspiring to kill her ex-husband, a former Nashville television and radio personality named Aaron Solomon. Franklin police announced late Friday evening it arrested Angelia Solomon following an investigation with assistance from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation into 'solicitation to commit first degree murder.' Angelia Solomon, who publicly goes by Angie Huffines on social media, is in jail on a $500,000 bond. Franklin police provided no other details in a news release Friday and said the investigation is ongoing. Angie Solomon is a pharmacist with UnitedHealthcare, according to her LinkedIn. Aaron Solomon, a former anchor at WSMV4, and Angie Solomon and daughter Gracie Solomon were at the center of some attention locally following the death of Aaron and Angie's son, Grant. Grant Solomon, who was a senior in high school at Grace Christian Academy in Franklin, died in a car accident in July 2020 shortly after his 18th birthday.
