Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 1.05% in a weak market
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded negative around 10:56AM(IST)on Thursday in a weak market. ADVERTISEMENT Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 2.82 per cent) and Abbott India Ltd.(up 0.03 per cent) were among the top gainers. Cipla Ltd.(down 1.73 per cent), Lupin Ltd.(down 1.65 per cent), Ajanta Pharma Ltd.(down 1.54 per cent), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.35 per cent) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 1.33 per cent) were the top losers on the index. The Nifty Pharma index was down 1.05 per cent at 21975.45 at the time of writing this report. Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 87.35 points at 25388.75, while the BSE Sensex was down 264.51 points at 83271.57. Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 15 were trading in the green, while 35 were in the red. ADVERTISEMENT Shares of JP Power, RattanIndia Power, Vodafone Idea, PC Jeweller and Sagility India were among the most traded shares on the NSE. Shares of Innovana Thinklabs, Crizac Ltd., Gallantt Metal, Sumeet Ind and TN Telecom hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Mahalaxmi Fabric Mil, Sadhana Nitro, TECIL Chemicals, Picturepost Studios and Ola Electric Mobilit hit fresh 52-week lows in trade. Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index advances 0.8%
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index closed on a positive note on Friday. ADVERTISEMENT Shares of J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 6.04 per cent), Abbott India Ltd.(up 1.91 per cent), Ajanta Pharma Ltd.(up 1.67 per cent), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.53 per cent) and Granules India Ltd.(up 1.47 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack. On the other hand, Mankind Pharma Ltd.(down 1.57 per cent), Natco Pharma Ltd.(down 0.74 per cent), Ipca Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.58 per cent), Alkem Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.18 per cent) and Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 0.16 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day. The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.8 per cent up at 21613.0. Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 319.16 points at 25112.4, while the BSE Sensex stood up 1046.3 points at 82408.17. Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 46 ended in the green, while 4 closed in the red. Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 0.67%
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index closed on a negative note on Friday. ADVERTISEMENT Shares of Laurus Labs Ltd.(up 2.77 per cent), Abbott India Ltd.(up 2.47 per cent), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 0.28 per cent) and Gland Pharma Ltd.(up 0.25 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack. On the other hand, Ajanta Pharma Ltd.(down 4.47 per cent), Mankind Pharma Ltd.(down 3.23 per cent), J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 2.21 per cent), Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 2.02 per cent) and Lupin Ltd.(down 1.84 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
