Egyptian Rider Abdelkader Said Reigns Supreme at Falsterbo Derby 2025 المصريين بالخارج

In a new triumph added to Egypt's equestrian achievements, Egyptian-born rider Abdelkader Said – internationally known as Abdel Said – dazzled the crowds at one of the world's most challenging and prestigious show jumping competitions, claiming the Falsterbo Derby 2025 title in the 1.50m category, held in Sweden, riding his brilliant mare Arpège du Ru. Born in Alexandria, Egypt in 1990, Abdelkader Said began his equestrian journey in Cairo's arenas. Today, he stands as one of Egypt's finest ambassadors in the European sports arena, consistently shining in elite international competitions. A Clash of Giants... and an Egyptian Victory in the Heart of Europe This year's event felt like a déjà vu, as Abdel Said once again faced European champion Steve Guerdat, just like in the 2023 edition – on the same horses and the same course. But this time, the victory belonged to the Egyptian champion, who delivered a flawless round in 45.89 seconds, beating his previous year's time by over six seconds. A Double Victory in One Day Abdel Said didn't stop at this landmark win. On the same day, he also clinched victory in the Grand Prix qualifier, riding Zasou Vom Claashof, outperforming top European names – a clear statement of dominance from start to finish. Abdelkader Said Speaks: 'I chose to go full throttle from the start. Arpège is naturally fast... I wasn't afraid. I was fighting,' Said Abdel commented after the win, met with applause from both the crowd and fellow riders. Who is Abdelkader Said?
