Kuwait's rising stars rule the Arab Squash Championship
KUWAIT CITY, April 16: Kuwait claimed the overall title at the 29th Arab Squash Championship for youth and juniors, which concluded at the Sheikh Salem Al-Sabah International Squash Center, the headquarters of the Kuwait Squash Federation. Kuwait secured victory in three out of the four competitions held during the tournament. In the Under-19 youth team category, Kuwait triumphed over Jordan with a 2-1 win in the final. The team featured Jassim Al-Gharib, Abdullah Hani, and Khaled Al-Fawzan. Qatar and Saudi Arabia shared third place. Meanwhile, the Under-19 singles title went to Saudi Arabia's Mohammed Al-Nusfan. In the Under-15 junior category, Kuwait's Issa Al-Najadah clinched the singles gold after defeating Jordan's Hazem Tariq 3-1. Teammates Abdullah Mayouf and Saleh Al-Kandari both secured bronze medals in the same event. In the junior team competition, the Kuwaiti trio of Issa Al-Najadah, Abdullah Mayouf, and Salman Al-Saleh defeated Jordan 2-1 to win first place. Waleed Al-Sumaie, President of both the Kuwait and Arab Squash Federations, praised the significance of this edition, noting it marked a return after a ten-year hiatus due to technical reasons. He emphasized the tournament's success, particularly for the Kuwaiti team. Al-Sumaie also highlighted the extensive efforts behind Kuwait's achievements, crediting the players' commitment and the Federation's long-term planning. He extended gratitude to the Public Authority for Sports for its unwavering support in hosting the championship and helping elevate Kuwait's status in regional squash.

Three Kuwaiti players advance to semifinals at Arab Championship
KUWAIT CITY, April 12: The Kuwaiti junior squash team has achieved another milestone, with three players advancing to the semifinals of the 29th Arab Junior and Youth Squash Championship at the Sheikh Salem Al-Sabah Center in South Surra. Abdullah Mayouf delivered an impressive performance, defeating the fourth-seeded Jordanian, Khalil Al-Tayeh, in the quarterfinals. Saleh Al-Kandari also triumphed, beating Jordan's Bishr Mohammed in straight sets. Meanwhile, second-seeded Issa Al-Najadah secured his place in the semifinals after overcoming his fellow Kuwaiti player, Hamoud Al-Sawagh. Alongside the Kuwaiti trio, Jordan's Hazem Tariq also advanced to the semifinals. In the under-19 category, Jassim Al-Gharib made his way to the final by defeating his compatriot Abdullah Hani 3-1. On the other side, top-seeded Saudi Mohammed Al-Nusfan also secured a 3-1 victory, beating Jordanian Osama Al-Batayneh. Al-Gharib will now face Al-Nusfan for the Arab Youth Singles title. The three-day team championship begins today, Sunday.
