MaaT Pharma To Present Updated Data for MaaT013 in Early Access Program at the European Hematology Association (EHA) Annual Congress
LYON, France--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Regulatory News: MaaT Pharma (EURONEXT: MAAT – the 'Company'), a clinical-stage biotechnology company and a leader in the development of Microbiome Ecosystem Therapies TM (MET) dedicated to enhancing survival for patients with cancer through immune modulation, today announced that updated data from its Early Access Program for 173 patients with aGvHD treated with MaaT013 have been selected for oral presentation at the European Hematology Association (EHA) Annual congress, taking place in Milan from June 12–15, 2025. The oral presentation of MaaT013 data at EHA—Europe's leading hematology conference—underlines the growing recognition of the drug's clinical potential and the Company's leadership in hemato-oncology using microbiome-based approach. These updated EAP results for 173 patients, to be presented at EHA Congress, are consistent with the positive topline results of the Phase 3 trial announced in January 2025 and further confirm MaaT013's high efficacy and favorable safety profile in treating patients with gastrointestinal aGvHD. There are currently no approved options for patients with GI-aGvHD who are refractory to steroids and either refractory or intolerant to ruxolitinib, despite the poor prognosis with one-year survival rates of 15% (Abedin et al., 2021). MaaT Pharma has observed a 75% increase in physician demand with MaaT013 under the ongoing EAP in 2024 compared to 2023, across Europe and, more recently, in the United States. This steady demand for access to MaaT013 reflects its growing adoption by the medical community as a treatment option for patients with GI-aGvHD. To date, the Company has safely treated more than 300 patients with aGvHD across clinical trials and the Company's EAP ongoing in both Europe and the U.S. With upcoming regulatory milestones in Europe including a Marketing Authorization submission expected in June 2025, growing global physician interest, and continued clinical validation, MaaT013 has the potential to become the first approved third-line treatment for GI-aGvHD, significantly improving survival outcomes for approximately 3,000 third-line patients annually across the U.S., Canada, and Europe. Details of the Oral Presentation: Title: Pooled Fecal Allogeneic Microbiotherapy for Refractory Gastrointestinal Acute Graft-Versus-Host Disease: Results from the Early Access Program in Europe Abstract number: S260 Presenting Author: Mohamad Mohty, Professor of Hematology and Head of the Hematology and Cellular Therapy Department at Saint-Antoine Hospital and Sorbonne University Session title: s424 Stem cell transplantation - Session 2 Date & Time: 13/06/2025 (17:00 - 18:15 CEST) - Brown Hall 3 MaaT Pharma will also present its ongoing Phase 2b trial (PHOEBUS) design for MaaT033 developed as an adjunctive therapy to enhance overall survival in allo-HSCT. This international, multi-center trial (NCT05762211) is the largest randomized controlled study to date of a microbiome-based therapy in oncology, enrolling up to 387 patients across 60 sites. To date, the independent Data Safety Monitoring Board (DSMB) has conducted two safety reviews and one unblinded interim analysis, all of which concluded positively with the recommendation that the PHOEBUS trial proceed as planned. Anthony Weiner stiffed by Huma Abedin as ex-wife donates measly $175 to his NYC political comeback campaign
Huma Abedin stiffed ex-hubby Anthony Weiner with a lowball $175 donation for his comeback campaign for City Council, well short of the maximum contribution limit. She could have given up to $1,050. Abedin, 48, a longtime confidante of Hillary Clinton, divorced the sexting ex-con Weiner and is now engaged to Alexander Soros. She and Weiner have a son, Jordan. Huma's sister, Heba, also kicked in $150 for Weiner's bid to win a seat in District 2 on the East Side of Manhattan, records filed with the Campaign Finance Board show. Weiner donated $175 to his campaign, listing his occupation as 'Red Apple media host.' Before his latest bid for Council, Weiner had a gig on 770 WABC radio. Weiner is the 60-year-old perv whose sexting scandal prompted an embarrassing exit from public office more than a decade ago, culminating in a criminal conviction and prison time for sexting a 15-year-old girl. He did some hard time. But Weiner — like Andrew Cuomo, the ex-governor who resigned from office and is now running for mayor, is trying to get back in the political game. 'Huma gave a minimal investment to Anthony. She did what she had to do,' said political consultant George Arzt, noting they have a son. Weiner may have made a soft rather hard sell when soliciting a donation from Abedin, said one campaign strategist. 'For all we know, that's all he asked her for,' election veteran election lawyer Jerry Goldfeder said of the $175 donation, which can be used to generate public matching funds. Weiner suggested he only asked Abedin for $175 to qualify for matching public funds. 'She gave the maximum matchable amount. The same amount I gave,' he told The Post. 'If I win by one vote,' Weiner said, 'I'll know who to thank.' But there were other donors who gave more: business mogul Alexander Rovt and his wife, Olga, donated $1,000 apiece. Weiner previously served in the Council, representing Brooklyn, before his election to Congress. 'Anthony is an attention addict,' said former Brooklyn Councilman Sal Albanese, who served with Weiner in the Council. 'Running for office again is another way for him to get attention and eventually self-destruct. I always thought he was a little unstable.' Weiner is running for a lower Manhattan seat that includes the Lower East Side, Greenwich Village, Gramercy Park and Murray Hill/ Kips Bay. His rivals in the Democratic primary include state Assemblyman Harvey Epstein, whose name was spoofed in a 'Saturday Night Live' skit last fall: Community Board 3 chairwoman Andrea Gordillo, former aide to Bill de Blasio Sarah Batchu and Allison Ryan. Abedin declined to comment.

Disgraced ex-Congressman Weiner receives campaign donation from unexpected New Yorker in new race
FIRST ON FOX: Former Democratic Rep. Anthony Weiner received surprising donations to his campaign for City Council of New York City from ex-wife Huma Abedin and her sister, Heba Abedin, despite his ex-wife saying in 2021 that Weiner's sex scandals "almost killed her." Huma Abedin donated $175 to Weiner's campaign March 13, and her sister, Heba Abedin, donated $150 Dec. 29, 2024, a Fox News Digital review of New York City campaign finance reports revealed. Weiner launched his latest campaign for NYC City Council, a position he held from 1992 to 1998 before controversy derailed his political career, in December 2024. Weiner was elected to represent New York's 9th Congressional District in 1998 and resigned in 2011 after he posted a photo of himself in his underwear on social media. The incident was followed by years of sexual scandals, and Weiner was charged with transferring obscene material to a minor in May 2017 after sexting a 15-year-old girl. He was sentenced to 21 months in prison. Huma Abedin, the longtime Hillary Clinton aide, told CBS "Sunday Morning" in 2021 that anger over her husband's sex scandals almost killed her. "I can't live in that space anymore. I tried that. It almost killed me," Abedin told Norah O'Donnell. Abedin said she filed for divorce on the same day Weiner pleaded guilty and was sentenced to prison. The former couple, who co-parent their son, were spotted in 2023 attending the Inner Circle charity show at Ziegfeld Theater in Midtown Manhattan. By July 2024, Abedin announced on social media she was engaged to Alex Soros, chairman of Open Society Foundations and son of billionaire megadonor George Soros. They are expected to get married this summer. After resigning from Congress in 2011, Weiner continued sexting under the pseudonym "Carlos Danger." The main recipient, Sydney Leathers, who was 22 at the time, claimed the former lawmaker referred to himself as "an argumentative, perpetually horny middle-aged man." Weiner attempted his first political comeback in 2013 with a mayoral run, but his reputation was damaged by new revelations of explicit photos Weiner had sent under the pseudonym. Weiner was caught in another sexting scandal in 2016, which led to his indictment. In one image Weiner sent, he was lying in bed with his young son. More claims surfaced that year that Weiner had sexted a 15-year-old girl in North Carolina, and his laptop was seized. Investigators found emails relevant to Clinton's classified documents scandal that dominated the 2016 election. Weiner later checked himself into rehab for sex addiction. In 2017, his federal indictment ruined another bid for mayor. He was released in 2019 and was ordered to register as a sex offender. Abedin and Weiner did not respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment by the deadline of this article.
