First trailer for Liam Neeson's Naked Gun reboot released

The first footage has been released of Paramount's upcoming reboot of the much-loved Naked Gun series of spoof police movies. The new film stars Liam Neeson has Frank Drebin Jr – revealed to be the son of Leslie Nielsen's bumbling detective from the original films. The trailer introduces him a considerably slicker operator to his late father, disabling a baddie in a schoolgirl disguise with a sharpened lollipop. He is then seen tearfully addressing a photograph of Drebin Snr, as offspring of Captain Ed Hocken (George Kennedy) and, more controversially, Officer Nordberg (OJ Simpson) are seen following suit. Simpson died last year, as did Jim Abrahams, one of the co-creators of the original series, while Kennedy died in 2016 and Nielsen in 2010. The new film is directed by Akiva Schaffer and produced by Ted's Seth Macfarlane. Also starring are Pamela Anderson and Danny Huston. Neeson, 72, was nominated for an Oscar for his role in 1993's Schindler's List, and found a second wind as an actor in action films, including the Taken series (2008-2014). Despite suggests he might hang up his holster, Neeson has continued to star in straight action movies, the most recent being 2024's Absolution. As well as being critically acclaimed, the three original movies were substantial commercial hits, making $166m at the box office and enjoying a healthy afterlife on home entertainment and streaming.

AEW Star Saraya Opens Up About a Potential WWE Return

Former AEW World Champion Saraya recently discussed the possibility of returning to WWE. In late 2017, she suffered a serious neck injury during a live event while competing as Paige in WWE. Despite the setback, she continued to accompany her Absolution teammates, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville. In April 2018, Saraya appeared on WWE RAW after WrestleMania 34, where she announced her retirement. She remained with WWE for several years in various on-screen roles before leaving in 2022 when her contract expired. Determined to wrestle again, she made her in-ring return nearly five years later at AEW Full Gear 2022, where she faced Britt Baker. However, she has not competed in AEW since October 2024, when she lost a Women's World Championship four-way match on Dynamite. Saraya recently shared a major update on her wrestling career, revealing that she is nearing retirement. Although she plans to step away from wrestling, she confirmed that she will return to AEW in the future. Amid this, in a new interview, Saraya also spoke about the possibility of returning to WWE. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Saraya Bevis (@saraya) In an interview with the Hall of Fame podcast, Saraya expressed her willingness to return to WWE if the right opportunity comes up. She stated: 'Yeah, so I love WWE and I don't have any negative feelings towards them. I mean, they raised me, they saved me a lot. I just appreciate them so much, and the idea of going somewhere else was only because of the potential of my brother being there. That was like a big thing — I just wanted him to be a success in wrestling, you know? I love WWE and I would absolutely — if there was something that they needed from me which was exciting, I would definitely go there. Yeah, absolutely, it would be silly not to. If there's an opportunity to do something fun — hell yeah, I'll jump on board.' [H/T: Fightful] Saraya's brother, Zak Knight, who competed in several matches in AEW, saw his contract expire earlier this month. Meanwhile, Saraya — currently absent from AEW TV — is focused on promoting her book, Hell in Boots: Clawing My Way Through Nine Lives, which was released on March 25, 2025. Liam Neeson Is Selling His Long-Time NYC Apartment at the Celebrity Resident-Filled Address for $10.75 Million

Benzinga and Yahoo Finance LLC may earn commission or revenue on some items through the links below. Liam Neeson is ready for the next stage of his life, according to the New York Post. The "Schindler's List" and "Taken" trilogy actor is selling his New York City home that he purchased over 25 years ago. The 72-year-old shared the high-rise condo with his late wife, Natasha Richardson, before she passed away after a skiing accident in 2009. The condo is located at 111 W 67th St., a rather prominent address for the who's who in Hollywood. Howard Stern, Jon Bon Jovi, and Alan Alda have all had homes there. The Park Millennium, as it's called, was completed in 1994 and has 56 stories. Neeson's home is nestled on the 28th floor and features five bedrooms and five bathrooms spanning across 4,500 square feet. It has north, south, east and west exposures, including views of Central Park. It also features a home gym and two primary bathrooms. Don't Miss:Many don't know there are tax benefits when buying a unit as an investment — According to Zillow, Neeson bought the property in 1999 for $2.75 million and is now listed for 10.75 million — an $8 million increase. Last year, the actor tried to get even more for the home, as it was listed for $12.75 million before the price cut. The property is being listed by Matthew Coleman of Coleman Real Estate Group. This isn't Neeson's only home. He's reportedly worth an estimated $145 million, so it's unsurprising that he has a 34,000-square-foot farmhouse mansion in Upstate New York. Located in Wassaic, he purchased the home with Richardson in 1994. Trending: CEO of Integris gathered a team of senior investment managers who have $34.22 billion in combined owned and managed assets in the West Coast — Just last month, Neeson helped out a friend, Dean Fay, who was selling his own Australian home in Mulgrave, a suburb of Melbourne. The actor, who's known for his iconic, powerful voice, lent his vocal cords to serve as the voice-over in a promo video. It included nods to well-known phrases Neeson is known for saying in his 2008 hit film, "Taken." "I sent him a little script, and he said he had made a couple of little changes," Fay said of Neeson. "Not many actors would do that for a buddy at the end of the day. He's a very generous guy." Neeson has acted in nearly 100 films, with the most recent being "Absolution." At the end of last year, he exclusively told People that retiring his action-movie skills may come at the end of 2025.
