180 Ghanaian migrants deported from Misrata
The Misrata Municipality has announced the deportation of 180 illegal Ghanaian migrants on a flight to Accra Airport.
This came in implementation of the instructions of the Ministry of Interior of the Government of National Unity, in coordination with the Ghanaian Embassy in Libya, and under the supervision of the Migrant Deportation Department at Misrata Airport, according to a statement from the municipality on its Facebook page.
The statement indicated that the migrants' repatriation process was completed under the auspices of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), as part of ongoing efforts to regulate the status of illegal migrants and enable their safe return to their countries.
