Actor Ibrahim Ali Khan recently opened up about one of the most harrowing nights of his life. He recalled shooting for his debut film 'Nadaaniyan' when his father-actor Saif Ali Khan, was stabbed during an attempted burglary at their Mumbai in an interview with GQ India, Ibrahim shared how the incident deeply affected him and changed his bond with his father forever."I was shooting a night shift. He was stabbed around 2:30 am, and I was informed at 5:30 am," Ibrahim recounted."I hadn't slept that night, and I rushed to see him. He had just come out of the ICU after surgery," he followed was a moment that Ibrahim says left him in tears. Ibrahim said," He opened his eyes, spoke to Sara for a bit, and asked for me. I was so happy; I said, 'I'm right here, dad.' And then he said, 'If you were there, you would've beaten that guy up.' That made me weep. I wish I had been there. At one point, when I heard he got stabbed, I started to think of the worst-case scenario. Setting the record straight, as many claimed that Ibrahim drove his father to the hospital; he said, "To everyone saying I drove him to the hospital with my baby brother, I would like to clarify that my dad walked into the hospital himself. He walked in with a knife stuck in him and said, 'I need help'," Ibrahim clarified. In the attack, which occurred in January, Saif suffered multiple injuries, including near his spine and neck, and underwent several surgeries. He was discharged after five days, and security around his residence has since been significantly tightened. The actor also enlisted the services of Ronit Roy's AceSquad Security LLP for ongoing traumatic experience has deeply impacted Ibrahim, who says it brought him closer to his father. "I feel a lot closer to him now. If someone in your immediate family has a near-death experience, you don't take them for granted. You become more present in the relationship,' he added. Despite the family crisis, Ibrahim's professional life has been in the spotlight. His debut film, 'Nadaaniyan', released on Netflix in March under Karan Johar's production banner. Now, in an interview with ETimes, the actor spoke candidly about his takeaway from the traumatic experience and discussed how he never believed in having security, but is now forced to maintain it.
