This Is Why Fans Are Asking Manny Jacinto to Choke Them

Manny Jacinto, star of The Good Place, Star Wars: The Acolyte, and most recently Freakier Friday, inspires a unique and passionate fervor in nearly everyone he meets. It is evident in his decidedly nontraditional fan encounters ("sometimes [they'll] ask me to choke them") and in the giddiness he sparked in our editor-in-chief, Willa Bennett, during their chat on the latest episode of Blind Date. Those 'choking' requests stem from his Acolyte character's special Force powers. As for Willa's glee, she was, after all, on a date with Manny Jacinto. During this dinner date in the video above, Manny modeled some very ideal husband behavior. In the (hopefully rare) event my future spouse ever goes on a romantic date as part of his press tour, I can only hope he'd keep the conversation as focused on me as Manny did on his wife, actor Dianne Doan!
