'I tried this Belissima 2-in-1 hair styler to create the perfect beachy waves for summer'

Shopping Writer Meghan has been loving this affordable 2-in-1 styler that creates the 'perfect beachy waves' for summer styles - and what's more, her new favourite styling gadget is on sale I've always been a fan of the crimped, waved hair look - the sort of style you can achieve by plaiting your hair before bed - but I've never found an easier, hassle-free way of achieving the same style on a whim, until this hair waver. From the iconic brand Bellissima, this hair waver is perfect for creating beachy waves or a tight crimp in a matter of minutes. Acting has two separate hair stylers in one simple gadget; this hair styler creates long-lasting waves without any expertise or long, complicated instructions. And what's even better, it comes with an affordable price tag on Amazon. My new Bellissima MY PRO 2 in 1 Hair Waver lets you achieve natural-looking beach waves in a short period of time. Suitable for all hair types, this first-generation styler delivers lasting tousled waves that create a relaxed and effortless look that is sure to blend seamlessly with any style for any occasion. This waver boasts heat control technology that ensures consistent, damage-free results. Its temperature settings are super easy to adjust to match any hair type and styling needs. I have relatively short, very fine hair, though because it is naturally curly, it struggles to hold styles over long periods of time without the help of hairspray. After using this gadget, my bleached hair felt sleek and smooth without feeling dry or brittle. I tested out each temperature setting. I found the higher the heat, the longer the waves stayed in my hair, but I didn't need to worry about any heat damage. What's more, it takes me around 10 minutes to achieve an all-over beach wave style, removing extended styling times that can be long, arduous and uncomfortable. Thanks to this device's ceramic-coated barrel, the wave provides even heat distribution while working to minimise frizz and protect hair from damage. Delivering visibly smoother, shinier, and healthier-looking waves every time, this machine provides a flawless finish with minimal flyaways or frizz. This innovative styler offers the benefit of 2 styles in 1 as the barrel head to be swivelled around, depending on what sort of wave you'd like to create. Armed with a lightweight and ergonomic design that offers ease and comfort while in use, this lightweight styler features an ergonomic handle for effortless manoeuvring without risk of it slipping or falling. Whether you're a pro or a beginner (like me), this hair styler offers a painless and hassle-free way to create beautiful waves in a short period of time, making it an ideal pick for daily use. I've used it multiple times, day after day, and have yet to find that my shoulders ache or my wrist hurts, though due to the short and thin hair I have, styling is a lot faster than I imagine it would be if your hair is substantially thicker or longer. Boasting a super fast heat-up that makes it a dream for last-minute or rushed jobs in the morning before work, this waver is ready to be used in just a few seconds, saving time and extra stress. This gadget also comes with an automatic shut-off feature that provides added safety, making it convenient and secure for both quick touch-ups and full styling. Normally retailing for £69.99, this hair styler is currently available for £48.88 while this Amazon deal lasts. It's worth noting that stocks are constantly dwindling, so you may want to hurry. If you miss the chance to score this waver while it's on sale, you can grab the Bellissima 2 In 1 Beach Waves for £89.99 from Superdrug or Currys.

Annie Murphy was convinced she didn't get 'Schitt's Creek' role when Dan Levy called: 'Please put me out of my misery'

The role of Alexis Rose came at the perfect time in Annie Murphy's career, but Dan Levy made her believe she didn't land the part. In a recent episode of the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, Murphy recalled the audition process for Schitt's Creek, during which she tried out for ditzy daughter Alexis and grumpy motel front desk clerk Stevie. The opportunity to work on Schitt's Creek came to Murphy at a difficult time in her life when she had doubted her future in Hollywood and grappled with losing her home in Toronto. "I felt like I was going to get Stevie because Stevie felt more like me," Murphy said. "And I'm so glad I got the part that I did because it was a character." Weeks passed, however, and Murphy did not hear back. Finally, Levy, the show's co-creator, called her. But instead of sharing the good news right away, Levy toyed with her a bit before officially offering her the job. "I got a call from Dan and he was like, 'Hey, just wanted to thank you so much for all the effort and all the time that you put in. Yeah, we really appreciated it so much,'" Murphy recalled. "And that's what people say when they're about to be like, 'F--- you, we went with someone else.' And I was like, 'Okay, thanks so much.'" And then I was signing off the call and he was like, 'Just one quick thing, um, do you want to play my sister on the show?'" The call changed her life, she said. But in the middle of the call, before Levy shared the good news, she thought: "Please put me out of my misery."Murphy said she fell into a sibling dynamic with Levy, who plays her on-screen brother David, immediately, adding that doing the show was so fun, she hopes for a possible Schitt's Creek movie one day. 'Girls would give me their number, now they ask for his': Arnold Schwarzenegger admits his son Patrick has surpassed his popularity as he gushes over White Lotus star's success

Arnold Schwarzenegger has confessed that if his son Patrick outdoes him in life he'd be 'in heaven'. The Terminator star, 77, has had an illustrious career from bodybuilding to the big screen, but his son Patrick has recently exploded onto the acting scene. Patrick, 31, had his breakout role as Saxon Ratliff in the third season of White Lotus and his dad Arnold couldn't be prouder. In fact, speaking to The Sunday Times, Arnold said the tables have turned and now instead of Patrick being asked about him in interviews, the former governor of California now has people coming up to him to talk about his son. As he gushed over Patrick's success, Arnold added: 'If I go to my grave and know that my son has outdone me, I'm in heaven.' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the Daily Mail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. He said: 'I was just in New York and a journalist comes up and says, "What's it like being the father of Patrick Schwarzenegger?" 'All of a sudden, everything has changed around, I walk into the gym now and it used to be the girls would come up and give me their contact - and then after White Lotus comes out, the girl comes up and says, "Here's my contact, give it to Patrick."' It comes after Arnold gave a shoutout to ex-wife Maria Shriver when he cracked a joke at Amazon's Upfront presentation in New York City last month. The actor, who typically plays some kind of strongman, is softening his image in the upcoming holiday film The Man With The Bag, which he spent part of the winter filming in the Big Apple. Arnold will star as none other than Santa Claus in the comedy co-starring Awkwafina and Alan Ritchson. In the plot, Kris Kringle loses his magic bag and has to turn to Vance, a guy on the Naughty List (Ritchson) to help get it back. While speaking about the project the holiday veteran made reference to another one of his hit films and appeared to take a playful jab at Maria, 69. 'Jingle All The Way was the greatest Christmas movie of all time,' the Emmy winner declared unabashedly. 'They play it the whole month of December,' he said, adding , 'I know because my ex-wife calls me about the residual.' It was the first time he had made a comment about the former NBC journalist in about two years. The couple, who had what appeared to be a Hollywood fairytale romance were married for 25 years before their relationship crumbled under the news of Arnold's unfaithfulness. Maria filed to divorce in 2011 after The Expendables actor admitted to fathering a child, Joseph Baena, 27, with the family housekeeper. The former couple, who finalised their split in 2021, share four children, Katherine, 35, Christina, 33, Patrick, 31, and Christopher, 37. In her memoir, I Am Maria, which was released in April, Maria wrote about her pain at the breakdown of her marriage. 'It broke my heart, it broke my spirit, it broke what was left of me. Without my marriage, my parents, a job—the dam of my lifelong capital-D Denial just blew apart.' The result of those feelings, was her first work of poetry. Arnold gave a shoutout to ex-wife Maria Shriver and had a jolly little laugh when he cracked a joke at Amazon's Upfront presentation of coming movie's and films in New York City last month 'I started writing from a deep place within,' she explained. 'Through my poetry, I've found a woman who was terrified of not being able to live up to her family's legacy—scared of not being big enough, a good-enough daughter, sister, wife, mother, journalist.' For his part, Schwarzenegger has accepted the new parameters of their relationship as co-parents and grandparents. 'My chapter with Maria will continue on forever. Even though it's a different relationship, there's no reason for me to feel anything but love for her,' he told People in 2023.
