The Moroccan left-back departs Bayern Munich to move to the English club, where he has penned a four-year contract. The young Moroccan full-back is embarking on a new chapter in his career in the Premier League. After turning professional with Bayern Munich in Germany a year ago, Adam Aznou is now heading for England's top flight. The Toffees have just confirmed the arrival of the defender, who was developed at FC Barcelona and then at the Bavarian club. "Everton have completed the transfer of left-back Adam Aznou from Bayern Munich for an undisclosed fee. The 19-year-old defender has signed a four-year contract with the Blues until the end of June 2029," announced the English club. Negotiations between the two clubs accelerated in recent days. Everton managed to convince Bayern Munich to accept an offer of €11 million to secure the services of the young defender. This amount allows the German champions to make a significant profit on a player they acquired on a free transfer from Barça.

🚨 BREAKING: Everton sign up-and-coming Bayern Munich defender

Everton have completed the signing of Bayern Munich left-back Adam Aznou. Aznou becomes the fourth signing by David Moyes' side this summer as they seek to lay down solid foundations in their new home at Hill Dickinson Stadium. The 19-year-old spent the second half of last season in his native Spain with Valladolid, playing 13 times in their unsuccessful battle against LaLiga relegation. He made a senior debut for Bayern in their 3-0 win over Union Berlin in November 2024 before making a further three appearances for the Bundesliga champions. The Toffees struck a reported €9m (£7.8m) to secure the 19-year-old's signature. 📸 Juan Manuel Serrano Arce - 2025 Getty Images

Everton sources, speaking on the condition of anonymity to protect relationships, indicated a fee in the region of €9million (£7.87m, $10.6m at current conversion rates) was being discussed for Aznou. Aznou joined Barcelona's academy in 2019 before becoming part of Bayern's youth setup in 2022. He featured at under-17 and under-19 level before making his professional debut for Bayern's reserve team in February 2024 as a 17-year-old. Aznou was born in Spain and represented the country up to under-17 level but opted to play for Morocco and has been capped six times by the senior side. ()

Moyes, who confirmed he is looking to land Bayern Munich's Moroccan teenager Adam Aznou in a potential £8m move, said: 'We've signed three, so if you take that off, we're still in the need of maybe five or six players. 'That's what we have to try and do. 'In the past I probably have had to sign a lot of players, but I've never had to do so many in one window as we need now.' I want them to represent their countries because I think that's the right thing to do. 'But when they get taken away in the mid-season, it becomes a problem. 'So we will miss them. And it's something which I know a lot of clubs are considering. 'If you're going to buy an African player who's in the AFCON, what's going to happen? Will clubs not sign African players because of the AFCON?'
