False narrative
The Congress Party is once again searching for some false narrative to topple the ever growing popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP Party. This time the narrative seems to be 'Vote Fraud'. The party feels that the recent election results have been rigged by the BJP and the Election Commission has been hand in glove with the BJP. It can be noted that all the previous narratives of 'Adani-Modi link,' 'Manipur Violence,' have all fizzled out and failed to strike a chord with the public. This new 'Election Commission' issue also seems to be a vain attempt by the opposition, mainly led by a frustrated Congress Party. It is sad to note that the party is not able to pick up important issues like GDP growth, rising prices for the common man, etc., and bring the ruling government to focus on core issues. The lack of strong and constructive opposition is a sorry state of affairs in India. We hope that there emerges a credible and strong opposition soon to challenge the mighty BJP. ‘Dead economy' remark: Kiren Rijiju's ‘not a child' jibe at Rahul Gandhi; calls out ‘anti-India' stance
NEW DELHI: Parliamentary affairs minister Kiren Rijiju on Friday pulled up Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for attacking the government over Donald Trump 's "dead economy" remarks and urged him to recognise that he is "not a child" and should act accordingly. Rijuju accused the leader of opposition of taking a "anti-India" stance after he echoed Trump's remarks and claimed that " Indian economy is dead" and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has "killed" it. While talking to reporters, the Union minister said, "Not only people from the Government, but even members of the Opposition have said that what Rahul Gandhi is saying is anti-India. Rahul Gandhi should understand that he is not a child, and this is expected from an Opposition leader to maintain the dignity of the country." "Rahul Gandhi is constantly threatening constitutional institutions. This is a conspiracy to weaken democracy... Even a few of the Opposition leaders have started opposing Rahul Gandhi internally. People are saying that Rahul is playing a dirty game and wants to tarnish the image of the country," he added. Earlier on Thursday, Rahul listed five reasons which, according to him, led to the decline of the world's fourth-largest economy. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like These Are The Most Beautiful Women In The World Undo "The Adani-Modi partnership; Demonetisation and a flawed GST; A failed 'Assemble in India' initiative; MSMEs wiped out; Farmers crushed," Rahul said in a social media post on X. I am glad that the US President has stated facts... The entire world knows that BJP has ended the Indian economy to help Adani," Rahul said. This comes after Trump took a sharp jab at India and Russia, suggesting that the two nations could "take their dead economies down together." In a post on Truth Social, Trump said, "I don't care what India does with Russia. They can take their dead economies down together, for all I care. We have done very little business with India — their tariffs are too high, among the highest in the world. Likewise, Russia and the USA do almost no business together." Earlier, Trump announced a 25% tariff on all goods imported from India, along with an unspecified penalty, from August 1 after the two countries failed to reach an interim trade deal, triggering nervousness among exporters.

Except Modi, everybody knows India is a ‘dead economy': Rahul
New Delhi: Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi slammed the NDA government on Thursday, saying everybody except Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman knows that India is a 'dead economy'. The Congress leader's remark came after US President Donald Trump announced the imposition of a 25% tariff on Indian imports and then went on to call India and Russia 'dead economies'. Reacting to Donald Trump's post, Rahul Gandhi told reporters, 'Yes, he is right. Everybody knows this except the Prime Minister and the finance minister. Everybody knows that the Indian economy is a dead economy. I am glad that President Trump has stated a fact... The entire world knows that the Indian economy is a dead economy. The BJP has finished the economy to help Adani.' Taking to the social media platform X, Gandhi accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of killing the Indian economy. "THE INDIAN ECONOMY IS DEAD. Modi killed it. 1. Adani-Modi partnership 2. Demonetisation and a flawed GST 3. Failed 'Assemble in India' 4. MSMEs wiped out 5. Farmers crushed. Modi has destroyed the future of India's youth because there are no jobs," the Congress leader posted. Rahul Gandhi's comments come amid growing opposition criticism of the government's economic policies following Trump's 25% tariff announcement on Indian imports.

Trump's right on 'dead economy', remarks Rahul Gandhi, blames PM Modi
NEW DELHI: Congress neta Rahul Gandhi Thursday said US President Donald Trump has stated a fact that India has a "dead economy", asserting that the BJP govt is running the country to the ground because PM Narendra Modi "works for just one person, Adani". Claiming there is "total confusion", Rahul said the Modi govt has destroyed the economic policy, foreign policy and defence policy of India, and Modi "does not know how to run the country". "Modi works for only one person - Adani. They have destroyed all small businesses. You will see, this (Indo-US trade) deal will happen, and Trump will define how this deal is done, and Modi will do as Trump dictates," he said. Speaking to reporters amid the row over Trump's imposition of tariffs, Rahul said there is no question the "Indian economy is a dead economy, the entire world knows it, except the PM and the finance minister". He quipped, "Am glad that President Trump has stated a fact." He said, "The Indian economy is dead, Modi killed it", mentioning among reasons the "Adani-Modi partnership, demonetisation and flawed GST". Suggesting that Trump's tariffs had to be seen in conjunction with other geo-political issues, Rahul said India's "genius foreign policy" can be gauged from the fact that "while the US is abusing India, China is after you", and no country condemned Pakistan for the Pahalgam terror attack when multi-party delegations went across the world. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Gunung: New Container Houses – Take A Look At The Prices! "And they say it is a big success. What success?" he jibed. Rahul said the key questions was why Modi was unable to respond to Trump's claim, made over 30-odd times, that he forced the ceasefire, that India lost five planes, and is now saying India will pay 25% tariffs.
