The state government is always supportive of women's advancement
On Wednesday, the Indira Mahila Shakti Sambarala was organized grandly at the Royal Function Hall in Madanapur and Kothakota, two mandals of Devarakadra constituency, under the auspices of the District Rural Development Department. Devarakadra MLA G. Madhusudhan Reddy and District Collector Adarsh Surabhi participated in this program as chief guests. Speaking on the occasion, the legislators said that the country's first female Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi, was known as the Iron Lady. They recalled that she defeated Pakistan in the 1971 war with Pakistan without bowing to American mediation and divided Pakistan into two parts. The state government is working tirelessly with the aim that only if women are economically empowered under the rule of such an iron lady, Indira Gandhi, families will be better off. The government has provided free travel in RTC buses to women in the state and has paid Rs. 6500 crore to the RTC management, he said. He said that up to 200 units of free electricity will be provided to 43 thousand families in the Devarakadra constituency. For this, Rs. 1.26 crore has been paid to the power department. He said that a cylinder will be provided for just Rs. 500. He said that if people are unable to buy fine rice and cannot eat thick rice, the state government will supply free fine rice to white ration card holders through cheap shops. He said that farmers have been given farmer assurance under investment assistance for agricultural cultivation through farmer assurance. He said that since farmers are facing difficulties due to Dharani, the Dharani Act has been implemented in the Bay of Bengal and the Bhu Bharati Act has been brought in to benefit the farmers in the country. He informed that revenue conferences will be held and the problems of farmers' lands will be solved. New government hospitals will be built to strengthen education and medicine. He said that an integrated residential school will be built at a cost of Rs. 200 crore. To strengthen women financially, school uniforms are being sewn by women's groups. Soon a petrol station will be set up for women at Miraspalli, Kothakota. He said that RTC buses have been made owners. He said that an opportunity has been provided in Shilparamam to members of women's groups to go to Hyderabad and sell the goods made and benefit from them. Y.S. He said that steps have been taken to restart the Abhaya Hastam scheme introduced when Rajasekhar Reddy was the Chief Minister. He said that he has left the legal profession and is engaged in public service. He said that he is working to establish a Brahmos missile factory in Devarakadra at a cost of Rs. 2000 crore and to set up a dry port at Addakula. District Collector Adarsh Surabhi, who participated in the program, said that in any family where the woman is financially strong, that family will be financially well. If the woman in the family is educated, the entire family will be educated. That is why the government has sanctioned interest-free loans for women's financial self-reliance. He said that the interest of 15.5 crores has been refunded to the accounts of women's associations in the district. He said that a total of Rs. 3.44 crores has been sanctioned to two mandals in Devarakadra. He said that banks are ready to provide loans and encourage women to start businesses. He said that skill training will also be provided to start businesses. He said that a skill training center will be set up in the district soon. He said that a Women's Federation building will be constructed in Wanaparthy at a cost of Rs. 5 crore so that the District Women's Federations and Mandal Women's Federations will have their own buildings. He said that 50 thousand uniforms have been sewn by the Women's Federation members for students studying in government schools. Rice purchasing centers have been given to the Women's Federations. Women's Power Canteens have been set up in government offices. He informed that the government is ready to encourage women by providing bank loans if they come forward to do business in their preferred fields. Uma Devi, who presided over the program, explained the programs undertaken by the government for women's empowerment in Wanaparthy district. He said that from now on, members of women's federations will be given an insurance of Rs. 10 lakh in case of accidental death. Similarly, loan insurance has also been provided. He said that if the woman who took the loan dies, the loan will be waived. Later, 5 best members of women's federations were felicitated from the Mandal Federation. A cheque for Rs. 8.30 crore for interest-free bank loans for the year 2025-26 was given to women's groups. Accident insurance and loan insurance cheques of Rs. 2.38 lakh were handed over to the mandal women's associations, and a cheque of Rs. 6529903 was handed over to the Kothakota Municipality. A cheque of Rs. 138936 for the rent received from the RTC bus was handed over to the members of the women's associations. Collector Emphasises Smooth Implementation of AI Training in Schools
Wanaparthy District: District Collector Adarsh Surabhi has mandated the seamless execution of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) training programme introduced in government schools, aimed at equipping children with essential computer education from an early age. On Tuesday morning, Collector Surabhi visited the Government High School in Kothakota Municipality and the Government High School in Manigilla village, located in Peddamandadi mandal. During his visit, he inspected AI training classes being conducted for students in classes 3 to 5 and closely monitored the students' interactions with computers. The District Education Officer (D.E.O) was asked to provide information on the number of schools conducting AI training and the availability of computers. The D.E.O revealed that computer training is currently being offered to students in classes 3 to 5 across 11 schools located within the same premises as the government high and primary schools. Additionally, it was noted that students in classes 6 to 12 at KGBV and Model Schools are also receiving computer training. Collector Surabhi underscored the importance of ensuring all schools providing computer training have a reliable internet connection and that students should wear headsets during AI sessions. He also stressed that each student must exclusively use their provided user ID. Inquiries were made about the distribution of the specially designed handbook for teaching tenth-grade mathematics. The Collector sought assurance that lessons are being taught in accordance with the handbook and that no student should fail in mathematics this year. Following the inspections, he evaluated the construction of additional rooms for a newly built school building, advising contractor Krishna Reddy to complete the work within the stipulated timeline. The Collector was accompanied by District Education Officer Mammad Abdul Ghani, Kothakota Tahsildar Venkateshwarlu, Peddamandadi Tahsildar Saraswati, CMO Mahanandi, and principals of various government schools during his visits.

Wanaparthi District: The Central Committee from New Delhi visited Wanaparthi district on Saturday to inspect the welfare programs implemented by the Central and State Governments, especially how drinking and irrigation water is being provided to the people at the field level and what are the quality standards. The 28th team of the teams formed by the Central Government through NITI Aayog to visit the respective states of the country and inspect the implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission Abhiyan at the field level and give an actual report, visited Wanaparthi district on Saturday. The team was led by NITI Aayog Deputy Secretary Arvind Kumar and was assisted by Deputy Director Central Water Commission Arun Kumar and Central Ground Water Board Scientist P. Yadav. The central team was welcomed by District Collector Adarsh Surabhi at the Collectorate. Later, a meeting was held in the conference hall and a report was presented through a projector on the drinking water policy being provided to the people through Mission Bhagiratha in Wanaparthi district and the steps taken to overcome the obstacles. Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Secretary Arvind Kumar said that the central and state governments are jointly undertaking many programs to see India as a developed country in all sectors by 2047. He said that he will visit Wanaparthi district for two days on Saturday and Sunday to learn how these programs are being implemented at the field level and how the living standards of the people are improving and to submit a report. He said that he visited Achyutapur, Qasim Nagar, Kanayapalli Fresh Water Purification Center, Rajiv Bhima Lift Irrigation 2nd Canal in Wanaparthy district to find out how drinking water is being provided to the people of the district, what are the quality standards, and how problems are being overcome. District Collector Adarsh Surabhi said that clean drinking water is being provided to every household in Wanaparthy district, and a register has been set up there to clean overhead tanks three times a month. Similarly, he said that a large amount of water is being provided for irrigation for agriculture. He said that not only are ponds and ponds filled due to rains, but also reservoirs and ponds are being filled due to the river flow coming from above. He informed that programs such as water conservation, water sheds, roof top harvesting and setting up of indus pits are being carried out by the Rural Development Department to increase groundwater. Yoga essential to combat stress: Collector
Wanaparthy: 'Changing Lifestyles and work-related stress are leading to various health problems, and to prevent these, everyone should incorporate yoga into their daily routine,' suggested district collector Adarsh Surabhi. On Saturday, he participated in a yoga programme organised by the AYUSH department at the Marrikunta Tribal Welfare School. The Collector, officials, and students participated in yoga session led by District Yoga General Secretary Suguna. On this occasion, the Collector stated that in today's mechanical lifestyle, people are prone to many health issues. 'Practicing yoga daily can help overcome these and lead to a healthy life. He emphasized that yoga was an integral part of life for our ancestors in ancient India. He explained that June 21 was chosen for Yoga Day because it is the longest day of the year in terms of sunlight. 'Daily yoga,' he said, 'not only improves physical health but also promotes mental peace and the ability to cope with stress.'

Rs 95.53 cr Rythu Bharosa funds credited to Wanaparthy farmers
Wanaparthy: District collector Adarsh Surabhi reported that as of Monday, Rythu Bharosa funds worth Rs 95.53 crore have been deposited in the accounts of 1,34,537 farmers in the district, who own less than two acres. He assured that the remaining eligible farmers will receive their funds gradually over the next nine days. On Monday, he along with local MLA Thudi Megha Reddy, agricultural officers, and farmers gathered at the Nagavaram Rythu Vedika to watch the 'Rythu Nestham' programme via video conference. This programme, initiated by CM Revanth Reddy, in collaboration with his Cabinet colleagues, was organised from Professor Jayashankar Agricultural University in Hyderabad and connected with farmers from all districts across the State. Participating in the event, the MLA urged farmers in the district to shift their focus from mono-cropping to crop diversification. He suggested cultivating essential crops like vegetables, pulses and oil palm, which have high daily demand, to ensure profitable farming.
