Columbiana softball secures 20th win for third year in a row
COLUMBIANA, Ohio (WKBN) – Columbiana softball piled up 13 hits as a team in a 14-5 rout against Southeast to earn their 20th win of the season on Thursday. Clippers sophomore Kyla Hogan registered three hits and three runs batted in while freshman Addison Brode went 2-for-3 with four RBI. Brode also picked up the win in the circle while striking out three batters across five innings pitched. Senior Caitlynn Pleska recorded two hits, including a home run and 2 RBI while Maryn Hepler and Cameron Perkins also notched two-hit games. With the win, Columbiana improves to 20-6 and will travel to take on Maplewood on Friday, May 16 before hosting Tuslaw in a tournament game on May 20. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. Columbiana softball clinches 4th straight league title
COLUMBIANA, Ohio (WKBN) – Columbiana clinches its fourth straight Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference outright championship as the Clippers top United, 5-0. Caitlynn Pleska homered and doubled as she finished with 2 RBIs and scored twice. Addison Brode collected a pair of singles from her cleanup position in the lineup. Brode also pitched a 5-hit, complete-game shutout. She also struck out 15 of the 28 batters she faced. Columbiana (16-5) seeks its 10th win in a row when they travel to face South Range on Saturday.
