Vaidya's friends and neighbors started a GoFundMe to help cover the costs of the memorial service that is scheduled for Wednesday, July 23.
According to the GoFundMe, Vaidya's daughter, Aditi Indurkar, is currently a full-time student at the UMKC School of Dentistry. She's working toward her U.S. DDS degree while she and her husband, Dhananjay (Jay) Indurkar, care for their two children, 8-year-old Myra and 14-year-old Aayush.
All donations will go directly to the Indurkar family for memorial services, as well as meals and groceries for the family.
