Three people were taken to hospital, including a man and woman who were seriously injured, following a crash between a motorbike and a car on the A736. Three people were taken to hospital following a serious crash between a motorbike and a car in Ayrshire. ‌ Emergency services were called to the scene following the incident at Torranyard on the A736 Lochlibo Road north of Irvine at 9.20am on Saturday, August 2. ‌ The rider and passenger of the motorcycle, a 46-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman, were taken to hospital where their conditions are described as serious yesterday, Sunday. ‌ A 34-year-old woman, a passenger in the car, was also taken to hospital as a precaution. The road was closed for around seven hours after the incident which involved a blue Yamaha motorcycle and a blue Vauxhall Grandland car. Police are now appealing for witnesses as they try to establish the full circumstances of the incident. ‌ Sergeant Adnan Alam said: 'Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash to contact us. 'We also ask anyone driving in the area at the time with dash-cam footage to come forward.' ‌ A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Officers are appealing for information following a two-vehicle crash on the A736. "The crash happened around 9.20am on Saturday, August 2, at the junction Sharon Street, Torranyard. It involved a blue Yamaha motorcycle and a blue Vauxhall Grandland car. "A 46-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman, the rider and passenger of the motorcycle, were taken to hospital, where their conditions are described as serious. A 34-year-old woman, a passenger in the car, was taken to hospital as a precaution. ‌ "The road was closed for around seven hours. Traffic cops are hunting for information following the serious collision in Kirkintilloch, East Dunbartonshire. The incident happened shortly after 2pm on Monday, August 4. The force said they received a report of a crash involving a Honda Jazz and a pedestrian in a car park on Shamrock Street. Emergency crews raced to the scene. After that, the pedestrian, a 92-year-old man, was taken to Glasgow's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. Luckily, no one else was injured during the crash. However, during the incident, a section of the car park was closed while investigations took place. It reopened at around 5.30pm. In an image shared on Facebook, several police vehicles could be seen in Sainsbury's car park in the area amid the collision. A Police Scotland spokesperson added: "Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting reference 1950 of August 4, 2025." A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: 'We received a call at 2.10pm on Monday, August 4, to attend a road traffic collision on Shamrock Street, Kirkintilloch. "We dispatched three ambulances and a trauma team to the scene. We transported one patient to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.'
