EXCLUSIVE Jamie and Eliot EXPOSE MAFS secrets: Sex confessions, cast feuds, expert apologies - and the real reason they're not putting a label on their relationship... yet
They were the pairing no one saw coming - and now Married At First Sight's Jamie Marinos and Eliot Donovan have finally revealed the truth behind their whirlwind romance in their first and only joint interview. Speaking exclusively to Daily Mail Australia, the pair lifted the lid on their post-show connection, revealing the flirty friendship that blossomed into something deeper - even if they insist they're not labelling it. 'It just kind of happened,' Jamie admitted. 'We were both single, we were vibing, and the flirting just ramped up.' Eliot added: 'It was a bit of a flirtationship. We were just having fun with the time we had together.' The bond began during filming, but didn't deepen until after the show aired. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Jamie reached out to Eliot after watching his tumultuous return with intruder bride Veronica, asking for his number through groom Adrian Araouzou. 'We had a 45-minute phone call the first time we spoke,' Eliot recalled. 'We haven't stopped talking since.' Jamie said Eliot was a vital support system after her breakup with Dave Hand. 'As much as Eliot can be a pain, he's been incredible,' she said. 'He always had empathy for what I went through. He was one of the few guys who genuinely cared.' Eliot added: 'I just felt a moral duty to have her back. It wasn't about sliding into DMs, I just cared.' While neither confirmed a relationship, both admitted there's chemistry. 'We may or may not have had sex,' Eliot joked. Jamie quipped: 'If I say "yes", Dave's gonna make a TikTok shaming me again.' But the pair are adamant they're not rushing into anything. 'We're in different states, we have a lot happening, and we don't want to lose the friendship,' Eliot said. Jamie added: 'We'd probably clash if we jumped into something now. I just got out of something heavy. This is my time.' Both stars described the jarring shift from filming to anonymity – and then to instant fame once the show aired. 'No one knew who we were at first. Then overnight, you can't go anywhere without getting stopped,' Jamie said. Eliot said he never fully returned to normal life: 'It's like being in limbo – you're waiting for the fallout.' Jamie spoke openly about her struggles with anxiety and the online abuse she feared would come after her failed marriage. 'All I could think was, people are going to say they wouldn't have sex with me either,' she said. 'That humiliation, and knowing people were happy to see me in pain – that was hard.' Despite this, Jamie said public support helped rebuild her confidence. 'People loved me without makeup, being real - it made me feel like myself again.' Eliot went from public enemy to fan favourite. 'At first, I was labelled an "incel". But then TikTok changed everything. My mum texted me saying people at work suddenly loved me.' Jamie revealed that during the reunion, producers privately showed experts the footage of her clash with Carina Mirabile – resulting in all three experts apologising to her. However, the footage was never aired. 'I had a panic attack at the retreat commitment ceremony because they made me feel like I was the bully. But when the experts saw the footage, they admitted they got it wrong. I felt robbed when none of it was shown.' Jamie shared a string of behind-the-scenes antics never shown on air. Her favourite prank? Ding-dong ditching. 'I knocked on almost every door on our floor. I even interrupted Rhi and Jeff having sex – twice!' She also recalled a hilarious moment where Carina accused Sierah Swepstone of stealing her heels at a dinner party, only to find Channel Nine publicity had taken them by mistake. Jamie said she is no longer in contact with Dave, despite once thinking he'd be in her life long term. Eliot confirmed ongoing tension with Billy Belcher: 'He drags everyone's name on every podcast. I wouldn't do that to people I was friends with.' Jamie stood by Adrian during airing and revealed that she's since reconciled with Carina. 'We made peace during our Queensland appearance. I didn't want her to feel isolated.' When rumours first surfaced that Jamie had moved in with Eliot and cancelled a TV opportunity to pursue him, the pair said it was all blown out of proportion. 'That's exactly why we're cautious now,' Jamie said. 'We don't want to pass on major career opportunities based on what-ifs.' Eliot added: 'We're pragmatic. We have a connection, but we don't want to force something that could ruin the friendship.' What they argue about (and how they solve it) Despite their closeness, Jamie and Eliot admit they clash. 'We're both direct communicators,' Eliot said. 'We don't beat around the bush. We just hash it out.' Jamie added: 'We're brutally honest with each other. That's why it works.' Jamie admitted she drifted from some castmates like Awhina due to geography and life changes. 'Fee and I will always have love, but we're on opposite sides of the country now. Life gets in the way.' Eliot and Jamie also took a dig at contestants who play to the cameras. 'Everyone who faked it got exposed,' Jamie said. 'Just be real or you'll get eaten alive.' What's next for Jamie and Eliot? Both said they'd consider future TV gigs – but with conditions. 'I'd host Love Island in a heartbeat,' Jamie said. 'I've got a lot more to say than Sophie Monk.' Eliot added: 'I'd do The Bachelor if it meant I could just have fun with it. Hosting something would be ideal.' They've ruled out jungle duties, though. 'Don't put me in I'm A Celeb,' Jamie said bluntly. Asked what they'd tell the next batch of brides and grooms, Jamie didn't hold back. 'Be yourself. The audience sees through fake. Everyone who tried to curate an image got exposed.' Eliot added: 'Don't DM former castmates asking for advice. Just be authentic - or you'll get eaten alive.' So... are they or aren't they? While they may not be locking in couple status anytime soon, the chemistry is undeniable. 'If we end up together, I'd be happy,' Jamie said. 'But right now, I'm focusing on me.'

MAFS groom slammed over ‘misogynistic' post as he shares ‘high standards' for future girlfriend after bitter show split
MAFS Australia's Adrian Araouzou has riled up fans after posting a video listing his "high standards" for his future wife. In a video titled "Unpopular opinion 💁🏻♂️", which he uploaded to Instagram, Adrian was seen eating food on a camp chair by a fire as he wrote across the screen. 6 6 6 He wrote: "High standards because I don't want my kids to have a mum who's drunk every weekend, thinks it's ok to disrespect their body, looks at doing anything for their man as a chore, has no faith in God, or prioritises material things over nature's beauty. " Fans weren't best pleased with the message, and made sure he knew it in the comments. "what do you bring to the table though…" said one, while another wrote: "Misogynistic manosphere springs to mind… Andrew Tate!" "Good luck with that.. maybe u should join the priesthood.. no woman would touch u now with your attitude," noted a third. "You must also meet these requirements. Not only your future wife!" wrote a fourth. The 31-year-old reality star appeared on the 12th season of the dating show favourite, marrying Awhina Rutene in the experiment. However, while they initially seemed to like each other when they met at the altar, things went south quickly when Awhina revealed she had a six-year-old son. He later became central to cheating speculation with another bride, Sierah, after they were seen playing footsie under the table at a dinner. While they didn't actually cheat, Adrian later left the experiment for a small period of time, leaving Awhina before eventually returning to complete the show. He also was criticised for making his new wife cry in other scenes after refusing to take part in writing a confession letter. MAFS Australia star Dave Hand reveals heartbreaking truth behind his marriage breakdown At the Final Vows the pair decided to break things off, thinking they wouldn't work. However, in a strange twist, before the show was over they had their mind and opted to give their relationship a proper shot away from the series. Jilted Married At First Sight stars Sierah Swepstone, Adrian Araouzou and Morena Farina break their silence after being snubbed from the 2025 Logie Awards
Married At First Sight's 12th season has had no shortage of drama both on and off the screen, but tensions reached a peak after certain castmates were snubbed from the 2025 Logie Awards. Now, the jilted reality stars are breaking their silence regarding the ceremony's cold shoulder. Sierah Swepstone, Adrian Araouzou and Morena Farina spoke to Chattr about being snubbed from TV's night of nights and lifted the lid on all the drama behind the scenes. 'I have removed myself from anything MAFS-related or TV-related,' Adrian said, adding that had distanced himself from the show's social events, Instagram and castmates. However, the former TV groom did reveal that he'd be open to attending the event if an invite found its way into his letter box. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Morena sung a similar tune, saying that she hadn't been invited to the Logies, but was not surprised considering she had been excluded from most events related to the show. She also let slip of tensions amongst the MAFS participants, adding that she'd rather avoid people who 'unfairly' shut her out. 'Attending the Logies would be an honour and a privilege, though I'll be honest, I'd prefer not to be seated at the table with the MAFS cast season 12,' she said. Controversial bride Sierah, who was embroiled in a cheating scandal with fellow ousted groom Adrian, claimed that her snub was a form of 'victim silencing'. 'Channel 9 completely barred me from any media opportunities and anything associated with it because of what they allowed to happen to me while I was there,' she sensationally alleged. On Monday, the MAFS cast descended into a frenzy ahead of the 2025 Logie Awards, after learning that only a small handful of them would be invited to the glittering ceremony. Set to take place on August 4 in Sydney, the event will once again be hosted by Channel Seven, leaving some Channel Nine stars sweating over their invite status. Daily Mail Australia revealed that only a few of this year's breakout stars made the cut, despite MAFS 2025 scoring strong ratings and widespread attention. Those tipped to attend include Jamie Marinos, Awhina Rutene, Rhi Disljenkovic, Jeff Gobbels, Tony Mojanovski, Ryan Donnelly, Carina Mirabile, Eliot Donovan, Beth Kelly and Teejay Halkias. All ten stars have remained in good standing with Nine and have been spotted at recent promotional events, making them the obvious choices to represent the show and network. Should Channel Nine be feeling generous Katie Johnston and Ashleigh Ackerman will also be considered. Meanwhile, relationship experts John Aiken and Alessandra Rampolla will once again attend the awards to officially represent the series, while Mel Schilling has been invited but is yet to confirm her appearance. Insiders say the decision to limit the guest list has caused serious tension within the cast. 'Everyone's panicking and desperate to go,' one source told Daily Mail Australia. 'Some of them acted like saints during filming thinking it would secure them a Logies invite – now they're hearing they didn't make the cut and they're furious.' Despite still being together, Jacqui Burfoot and Clint Rice also won't be receiving an invite following their controversial stint on the show. Perth groom Paul Antoine, Tim Gromie and Veronica Cloherty also didn't make the list. 'There's already drama bubbling behind the scenes,' the insider continued.

MAFS bride breaks silence over 'footsie' scandal and explosive on-air edit and slams producers for using her pain against her amid secret trauma
Married At First Sight bride Sierah Swepstone has finally spoken out following weeks of speculation surrounding her behaviour on the Channel Nine dating experiment. In a series of emotional Instagram Q&A posts, the 31-year-old bride made shocking claims about the show's editing, her emotional trauma and setting the record straight on that now-infamous 'footsie' scene. She also hit back at viewers who accused her of inappropriate behaviour under the dinner party table with co-star Adrian Araouzou, while taking aim at her on-screen husband Billy for shutting her down. Sierah denied anything romantic was going on with Adrian, writing: 'Billy [Belcher] was actually sitting to the left of me. That doesn't even look sexy nor does it actually look like we are touching.' She went on to claim that Billy had accused her of saying something off-camera, then denied it moments later. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'When I got annoyed, he told me to 'calm down' and was actually called out for being controlling by the experts,' she revealed, before slamming the producers for weaponising a vulnerable moment. 'I was trying not to cry… so yes, MAFS used something that happened to me, against me.' Sierah also addressed the assumption she was 'rubbing someone up' under the table, calling it insulting. 'It's insulting that anyone would think I'd be dumb enough to rub someone up in that environment,' she said, adding with sass: 'I've got more game than that guys.' The reality star also addressed the backlash over the so-called 'plate of meat' dinner involving Tony Mojanovski and Adrian, calling the drama 'sensationalised' and 'malicious'. She explained she had removed herself from her apartment due to emotional stress and was later invited by Tony, who saw she was visibly upset, to join him and Adrian for dinner. 'It was essentially a kebab shop with a dining bit… Tony paid – there was nothing sexy about it,' she insisted. 'We were out for a few hours before Adrian dropped Tony and I back.' Sierah claims Tony's name was deliberately edited out to create a misleading narrative of a date between her and Adrian. 'It was calculated, manipulative and malicious – done with the expectation that Tony's name wouldn't make the edit and we would become cheaters,' she alleged. In another slide, Sierah slammed the show's focus on trivial drama while overlooking the serious issues she was dealing with. 'In the grand scheme of things, I didn't really do anything Things that are made such a big deal of in TV land aren't things that people would care about in real life,' she said. She said the public should be directing their attention to issues that matter, such as domestic violence, bullying and mental health – not dinner parties and Instagram likes. In a particularly raw moment, Sierah opened up about being a domestic violence survivor, revealing she was in an abusive relationship from the age of 16 to 18. She explained how trauma survivors like herself are often hyper-vigilant and triggered in toxic environments. 'I spent 14 years reprogramming and working on myself. But I will always be vulnerable to certain behaviours that trigger me – especially in an environment where your pain is amplified, exploited, and you are extremely isolated,' she explained. She accused Billy of pressuring her to share details of her trauma. Sierah also confirmed that much of her storyline was cut from the show, including the reasons behind her departure. 'My narration was cut out. My feelings were never included. The way I was treated wasn't shown,' she said. She suggested the lack of context was deliberate, writing: 'The fact it was so sensationalised, because no one questioned why I removed myself… those were the real issues.' Prior to her stint on MAFS, Sierah appeared on the 2021 series of The Bachelor and failed to find love with her co-star Jimmy Nicholson. Her elimination from The Bachelor went down in reality TV history as one of the best exits when she hilariously confessed Jimmy wasn't into 'tall, horny bogans' after he sent her home.

Unapologetic Married At First Sight bride Sierah Swepstone spills the beans on THAT cheating scandal as she claims the dreaded 'villain edit'
Married At First Sight bride Sierah Swepstone has claimed to be the latest victim of the dreaded 'villain edit' as she airs out what really went down on season 12 with groom Adrian Araouzou behind closed doors. The former reality TV star, 32, hosted an Ask Me Anything on social media in which she spilled the beans on the long-running Channel Nine dating experiment on Friday. She had some choice words after being asked why the show depicted her as a 'villain': 'Good edits don't always mean good. Bad edits don't always mean bad.' 'MAFS is actually a game of manipulation. People team up and collude to take others down. MAFS editing is deranged,' Sierah said. The Melbourne-born star added she was unsure why the show 'villainised' her as she believes she didn't behave negatively towards her co-stars. 'Villainising me was a stretch because I never bullied, isolated, intimated or did anything malicious to anyone,' she wrote. 'I don't have anything to apologise for. It was sensationalised bull***t.' Sierah developed a controversial reputation during her stint on this year's MAFS for her outspoken demeanour and unabashed name-calling. She previously branded her former co-stars as 'nasty c***s', and accused her ex-husband Billy Belcher and bride Awhina Rutene of conspiring to ruin her reputation. Sierah also broke her silence on her infamous 'cheating' scandal, in which she and groom Adrian Araouzou appeared to be discreetly playing 'footsies' under the table as their respective partners, Billy and Awhina, sat beside them. During the shock incident, Sierah was also seen puckering up her lips and making kissing gestures towards Adrian, who smiled and appeared to enjoy the attention from the bride. 'What actually happened is Billy accused me of saying something, then moments later, denied it. When I got annoyed, he told me to calm down,' Sierah wrote. 'Adrian told Billy he was shutting me down and the [footsies] moment is me repositioning my body away from Billy because he upset me. 'The pout was me trying not to cry. So yes, MAFS actually used something that happened to me, against me.' Shortly after the footsies scandal, Billy and Sierah officially ended their turbulent relationship during a Commitment Ceremony. She broke her silence on her infamous 'cheating' scandal, in which she and groom Adrian Araouzou appeared to be discreetly playing 'footsies' under the table as their respective partners, Billy and Awhina, sat beside them The couple proved there was no way their relationship would last the distance following the scandalous cheating allegation. The emotional sit-down saw Sierah tearfully admitting she had 'wronged people'. Meanwhile, Billy Belcher wrote 'leave' and chose to exit the experiment. The tension was palpable as the experts delved into the fallout from the previous night's explosive dinner party. 'I mean, obviously, I made a mistake and wronged people,' Sierah confessed, struggling to find the right words. Prior to her stint on MAFS, Sierah appeared on the 2021 series of The Bachelor, and failed to find love with her co-star Jimmy Nicholson. Her elimination from The Bachelor went down in reality TV history as one of the best exits when she hilariously confessed Jimmy wasn't into 'tall, horny bogans' after he sent her home.
