Create Account Marcone da Silva Cardoso, 26, and Adriana Machado Ribeiro, 42, were in a parked car at Venda Nova do Imigrante scenic overlook in Brazil in the early hours of Aug. 4 when the movement from their intimate moment sent them over the 400-metre (1,300-foot) drop, the U.K. Sun reported. Cardoso and Ribeiro are said to have been ejected naked from the vehicle after about 100 metres before the car tumbled another 300 metres before coming to a rest, completely destroyed. The couple of six months had left a party before heading to the area, where the ground was wet, and eventually slid down a hang-gliding ramp, official Alberto Roque Peres told CNN Brazil . The vehicle was located hours later by a local caretaker. Cardoso and Ribeiro were found naked at the base of a rock, not far from the mangled wreckage. 'It was a shocking scene, the car was destroyed.' The case remains under investigation as authorities await forensic reports. There was no initial evidence suggesting others were involved. A COUPLE died when their car plunged 1,300ft off a cliff while they were having sex. Adriana Machado Ribeiro, 42, and Marcone da Silva Cardoso, 26, had driven to a hang-gliding launch ramp after a party in Venda Nova do Imigrante, south-eastern Brazil. 5 5 After dropping home Marcone's brother and his girlfriend on Sunday night, they decided to spend some more time in each other's company. The pair began being intimate - but then the car started rolling and fell over the edge. Cops think it fell at around 1am on Monday morning. Around 100m into the fall — before the car hit the ground — the pair were thrown from the vehicle, likely after it struck a rock. Their car carried on tumbling for another 300 metres before coming to rest, completely smashed up. The couple were found naked, not far from the mangled wreckage Police officer Alberto Roque Peres, who is leading the investigation, said there is no evidence of foul play so far. He told local media: 'There were no signs of violence at the scene or on the bodies, and the car's handbrake was engaged." Investigators suspect the couple's movements inside the parked vehicle caused it to shift and teeter over the cliff edge. The car was found on private property at around 7am by a caretaker clearing the land.
