Former YADIM President Highlights Need for Collective Scholarly Efforts to Address Contemporary Challenges
Manama: Datuk Haji Mohd Nakhaie Ahmad, Former President of the Islamic Da'wah Foundation of Malaysia (YADIM) and Chairman of the Advisory Secretariat for Nation Development, underscored the importance of a collective effort by scholars and intellectuals to address contemporary challenges and strengthen Islamic unity.
According to Bahrain News Agency, he highlighted the significance of discussions held at the Intra-Islamic Dialogue Conference, under the theme 'One Nation, One Shared Destiny,' hosted in Bahrain under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He noted that the conference addressed key themes related to enlightenment, coexistence, and unity.
Datuk Haji Mohd described the conference as a vital platform for uniting Muslims in the face of current challenges, affirming the urgent need to enhance Islamic solidarity through dialogue, meetings, and forums. He called for the exchange of future initiatives and the implementation of projects aimed at fostering unity.
He also highlighted the need to reassess the role of mosques as central spaces for promoting cohesion within the Islamic nation.
