Naperville man dead following motorcycle crash at Naper and Plank
A Naperville motorcyclist has died after going off the road at Naper Boulevard and Plank Road Wednesday night and striking a fence, Naperville police said.
Officers arrived at the scene about 10 p.m. to find a heavily damaged 2016 Harley Davidson Fat Bob lying on its side and its operator unresponsive, a news release said. The 39-year-old driver was taken to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove by the Lisle-Woodridge Fire District, where he was later pronounced dead.
The name of the victim has not been released.
Preliminary investigation details indicate the driver was northbound on North Naperville Boulevard, heading toward Plank Road, when the crash occurred. Investigators closed down Naper Road between Plank and Meadow Lake Drive until about 2:15 a.m. to evaluate the accident scene, the release said.
