Aembit Named to Rising in Cyber 2025 List of Top Cybersecurity Startups

SILVER SPRING, Md., June 4, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Aembit, the workload identity and access management (IAM) company, today announced its inclusion in Rising in Cyber 2025, an independent list launched by Notable Capital to spotlight the 30 most promising cybersecurity startups shaping the future of security. Unlike traditional rankings, Rising in Cyber 2025 honorees were selected through a multi-stage process grounded in real-world validation. Leading cybersecurity venture firms submitted nominations, and nearly 150 chief information security officers (CISOs) and senior security executives voted on the final list, highlighting the companies solving the most urgent challenges facing today's security teams. Aembit was selected for its Workload IAM Platform – a solution delivering measurable value to security teams navigating today's complex threat landscape. The company joins a cohort that has collectively raised over $7.8 billion according to Pitchbook as of May 2025, and is defining the next era of cybersecurity across key areas like identity, application security, agentic AI, and security operations. "The demand for cybersecurity innovation has never been greater. As the underlying technologies evolve and agentic AI reshapes everything from threat detection to team workflows, we're witnessing a shift from reactive defense to proactive, intelligence-driven operations," said Oren Yunger, managing partner at Notable Capital. "What makes this list special is that it reflects real-world validation – honorees were chosen by CISOs who face these challenges every day. Congratulations to this year's Rising in Cyber companies for building the solutions that modern security leaders truly want and need." In celebration, honorees will be recognized today at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) alongside top security leaders and investors. "We're honored to be recognized by the CISOs and security leaders who are shaping the future of this industry," said David Goldschlag, co-founder and CEO of Aembit. "We believe protecting non-human identity is one of the most urgent – and underserved – challenges in cybersecurity, and this validation reflects the growing need to secure access between workloads, such as AI agents and applications, not just users." Aembit's inclusion in Rising in Cyber 2025 builds on an expanding track record of industry recognition, having been named a finalist in the 2024 RSA Innovation Sandbox, selected to the 2024 SINET16, and securing last September $25M in Series A funding to accelerate adoption. Fortune 500 enterprises are increasingly turning to Aembit to move beyond secrets managers and enforce policy-based access between workloads across cloud, SaaS, and hybrid environments. Aembit Extends Workload IAM to Microsoft Ecosystem, Securing Hybrid Access for Non-Human Identities

SILVER SPRING, Md., June 3, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Aembit, the workload identity and access management (IAM) company, today announced a major expansion of its platform to support Microsoft environments. With this launch, enterprises can now enforce secure, policy-based access for software workloads and agentic AI running on Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and Azure – while extending that same access model to third-party clouds, SaaS tools, and partner environments. Modern infrastructure rarely lives in one place. While Microsoft technologies remain core to many enterprises, workloads routinely connect across trust boundaries – from on-prem infrastructure to Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, and external APIs. As infrastructure shifts to the cloud, identity and access management across all these resources becomes increasingly fragmented and complex, especially for non-human entities such as applications, scripts, AI agents, and services. With this launch, Aembit enables a unified approach to secure workload access management across the Microsoft ecosystem and beyond, reducing operational complexity while improving visibility, automation, and risk posture. "Security teams require consistent enforcement across all environments – not different tools and rules for every platform," said Kevin Sapp, co-founder and CTO of Aembit. "We built this integration to help enterprises modernize without compromise, providing policy-driven access across all Microsoft workloads, whether they run on-prem or in the cloud." With this launch, Aembit delivers: Consistent access control for non-human identities: Teams can now centrally define and enforce access policies for applications, agents, and services across Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and Azure. They can extend the same model to non-Microsoft resources such as AWS, GCP, or SaaS services. Accelerated cloud migrations without added risk: As workloads move from on-prem to Azure, Aembit ensures their access remains secure, secretless, and aligned with zero trust principles. Elimination of static credentials: By replacing long-lived secrets with short-lived, identity-based access, Aembit helps reduce attack surface and developer overhead. Unified visibility for audit and compliance: All workload access is logged and attributed, making it easier to investigate incidents and meet compliance requirements across hybrid Microsoft environments. These features build on Aembit's mission to proactively secure access for the growing number of non-human identities operating across modern IT environments. Aembit replaces static credentials with just-in-time, identity-based access – helping builders move faster while giving security teams confidence in how workloads connect across hybrid environments. Aembit is now available in the Azure Marketplace, making it easier for organizations to integrate workload IAM into their Microsoft-based infrastructure with familiar procurement workflows. About Aembit Aembit is the leading provider of workload identity and access management solutions, designed to secure non-human identities like applications, AI agents, and service accounts across on-premises, SaaS, cloud, and partner environments. Aembit's no-code platform enables organizations to enforce access policies in real time, ensuring the security and integrity of critical infrastructure. Users can visit and follow us on LinkedIn. Michael Trites Joins Aembit as Senior Vice President of Global Sales

SILVER SPRING, Md., Feb. 05, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Aembit, the non-human identity and access management (IAM) company, today announced that Michael Trites has joined the company as senior vice president of global sales. In this role, Trites will lead Aembit's global sales strategy, driving adoption of its industry-first Workload IAM Platform. Trites brings over two decades of experience scaling sales organizations at high-growth security companies. He previously served as executive vice president of global sales at Dig Security, a provider of data security posture management, where he helped drive the company's expansion and go-to-market strategy, leading to its acquisition by Palo Alto Networks. 'Michael's track record spearheading adoption in emerging cybersecurity markets makes him the ideal leader to accelerate Aembit's growth,' said David Goldschlag, co-founder and CEO of Aembit. 'His expertise will be essential as we help organizations recognize the importance of securing and managing their rapidly growing mix of client workloads, AI agents, and service accounts.' Prior to Dig, Trites held sales executive roles at CyCognito, BigID (recognized by Deloitte as one of North America's fastest-growing companies from 2020 to 2024), and Zimperium, where he helped expand market reach and drive revenue growth. He also spent more than a decade at Riverbed Technology, where he advanced through multiple sales leadership roles, ultimately overseeing sales for the Americas East region. Most recently, he led global sales at MineOS, focusing on data privacy and compliance solutions. Now at Aembit, he is focused on helping organizations secure non-human identities by authenticating client workloads, enforcing access rights, and issuing short-lived credentials – eliminating static secrets and reducing an attack surface increasingly implicated in high-profile data breaches. 'Aembit's approach to non-human identity management fills a major gap in modern security,' Trites said. 'Many solutions highlight the risk, but almost none actually solve it. Unlike tools that only provide visibility into service accounts, Aembit enforces policy-based, secretless access and removes the need for developers to build authentication into applications. That lets companies move faster and build with confidence. I'm excited to help bring this model to more organizations.' Contact Apurva Davé Contact CMO Apurva Davé Aembit
