Below, I talk more about the appliance's features and why we made it our Deal of the Day. The versatile Nespresso Vertuo Next is ideal for making both coffee and espresso, but it's especially great for those who love espresso-based drinks with steamed or frothed milk, like lattes, cappuccinos, flat whites and cortados. Since the (included) Aeroccino milk frother is compatible with both hot and cold milk, according to the brand, you can use it to make hot and iced drinks and/or to make cold foam. The machine can hold up to 10 used capsules before needing to empty it and has a 1-liter water tank capacity. It also heats up in as little as 25 seconds, according to the brand, and it's compatible with Nespresso's espresso capsules, though the appliance comes with capsules so you can get started using it right away. I made my own version of Starbucks' iced pistachio latte (Image: Laura Mulley) Ever since Dubai chocolate hit our social media feeds, we've been going crazy for all things pistachio – and retailer have been keeping up, launching everything from ice cream to Easter eggs flavoured with the green nut. This includes Starbucks, who launched a new pistachio latte and ice latte recipe at the beginning of this year. It's since come of the menu, but I've found a way to recreate if yourself – and for a whole lot less money. If you have a Nespresso machine, you'll want to try the brand's new limited-edition Pistachio Vanilla Flavour Over Ice original and Vertuo pods, which gives a sweet, moreish twist to your usual coffee. At £7.50 for a sleeve of 10 pods (so 75p per cup), plus I worked out the rough cost of the amount of oat milk I used (25p), so already you're got yourself a tasty summer drink for less than a quarter of the price of the Starbucks one, which had a starting price of £4.70. You could also make this even cheaper by using original capsules (55p each) and dairy milk.
