Netflix announces season 5 of Emily in Paris, and this time she is going to Venice, watch

Audiences of Netflix series and movies are being treated day in and day out with new films and the latest seasons of fan-favourite shows. Adding to that list, the streamer announced season 5 of Emily in Paris, and it looks like fans are in for another change of scenery. The series is set to hit screens all over the world on December 18, and according to the pictures shared by Netflix, Emily is going to Venice at some point. The last season saw Emily, played by Lily Collins, distance herself from Gabriel after Genevieve made her believe that he did not wish to see her. Emily, who couldn't understand Gabriel because he was talking in French, couldn't exactly ask him because that's how the entire altercation started, with Gabriel complaining about not being able to express himself properly in English. Emily leaves and finds another romantic interest in the form of Marcello, while her friend Mindy goes through the experience of performing for a cabaret and having her passion for singing belittled by her boyfriend. Netflix's official announcement of Emily in Paris Season 5 read, 'Now the head of Agence Grateau Rome, Emily faces professional and romantic challenges as she adapts to life in a new city. But just as everything falls into place, a work idea backfires, and the fallout cascades into heartbreak and career setbacks. Seeking stability, Emily leans into her French lifestyle until a big secret threatens one of her closest relationships. Tackling conflict with honesty, Emily emerges with deeper connections, renewed clarity, and a readiness to embrace new possibilities.' A post shared by Netflix India (@netflix_in) Created and written by Darren Star, the cast of the show includes Lily Collins, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Ashley Park, Lucas Bravo, Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery, William Abadie, Lucien Laviscount, Eugenio Franceschini, Thalia Besson, Paul Forman, Arnaud Binard, Minnie Driver, Bryan Greenberg, and Michèle Laroque. The ending of the fourth season suggested that Gabriel might be coming to Rome to meet Emily, as he missed her after winning the Michelin Star for his restaurant.

Emily In Paris Season 5 Gets Premiere Date and first look. Guess where Emily is headed next?

The wait is finally over! Netflix has announced that Emily in Paris will return for its fifth season on December 18, and this time, Emily Cooper is swapping the streets of Paris for the romance and drama of Italy. Lily Collins, who plays the stylish marketing executive, will see her character taking on a new role in Rome, where she's tasked with setting up Agence Grateau's office. And yes, a brand-new adventure (with fresh romance, fashion, and challenges) is on the cards. Netflix dropped the first-look images on Wednesday, teasing Emily's Italian escapades with the caption: 'Benvenuto! The first look images from Emily in Paris are here, and they're serving up a slice of la dolce vita! Season 5 returns on December 18.' The photos show Emily soaking in the Roman sun, sailing in a chic polka-dot dress, and even going horseback riding with Marcello (played by Eugenio Franceschini), hinting at sparks between the two. But that doesn't mean the old love triangle is gone; Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) and Alfie (Lucien Laviscount) are still very much part of the story. According to Netflix's description, Emily will face plenty of new hurdles as the head of Agence Grateau Rome. From professional setbacks to romantic complications, the season promises 'work idea backfires, heartbreak, career troubles' and even a big secret that could change one of her closest relationships. Fans couldn't contain their excitement over the first look. One wrote, 'Emily's short hair??? The outfits??? Everything about this is perfect, I'm sobbing.' Another declared, 'Goodbye, Gabriel! Team Marcello here.' But the Gabriel loyalists are still holding on, 'Emily-Gabriel is the only endgame I want,' commented a fan. Clearly, the fandom remains divided. Alongside Lily Collins, the ensemble cast includes Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Ashley Park, Lucas Bravo, Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery, William Abadie, Lucien Laviscount, Eugenio Franceschini, Thalia Besson, Paul Forman, Arnaud Binard, Minnie Driver, Bryan Greenberg, and Michèle Laroque. The series comes from creator Darren Star, with Collins also serving as a producer.

We finally know when everyone's favourite guilty pleasure is returning to Netfli

Netflix's biggest escapist smash is coming back for season five in a matter of months. Emily in Paris, with its titular beret aficionado (Lily Collins) and her ever-dramatic love life, is set to return to the streaming service just in time for Christmas. Season four of the Europe-hopping drama, complete with miniature croissant stress-level storylines, delivered a cliffhanger that questioned the entire premise of the show. The finale left Paris in favour of Rome, and then the final season scene saw our fashion-forward heroine start to change her Instagram handle, from @EmilyinParis to @Emilyin…. Rome? Maybe. We never find out, because her new love interest Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini) comes knocking. Wake up to find news on your TV shows in your inbox every morning with Metro's TV Newsletter. After a year's wait, we will finally be able to find out where exactly Emily stands with Paris. The official Netflix account on X shared first-look pictures at season five, with the caption: 'Benvenuto! Your first look at Emily in Paris season five is here, coming to Netflix December 18!' So we're only a few months away from more classic, girl TV. And there's more good news yet, folks. This season will not follow in the footsteps of the last and split the episodes up into a two-part release. Instead, all 10 episodes of season five will arrive in one binge-worthy lot in December – hurrah! The first look photos tease not only Rome as a new hotspot on the show, but Venice, with Emily (and a new chic bob) seen jetting through the sinking city's waters. According to the season summary, Lily Collins' Emily Cooper is now the head of Agence Grateau Rome, and she faces challenges to her career and love life as she adjusts to her new home. We'll also see Lucien Laviscount's Alfie back, after a rather slim showing from the gruff Londoner in season four. Plus, Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) is still in the mix – despite making his not-entirely-praiseworthy thoughts on the last season very public. More Trending The official Netflix summary continues: 'But just as everything falls into place, a work idea backfires, and the fallout cascades into heartbreak and career setbacks. 'Seeking stability, Emily leans into her French lifestyle, until a big secret threatens one of her closest relationships. Tackling conflict with honesty, Emily emerges with deeper connections, renewed clarity, and a readiness to embrace new possibilities.' Following the events of season 4, Emily has now officially become the head of Agence Grateau Rome, and with that new title, her work-life balance is seemingly hanging by a thread. After a supposed faux-pas from her end costs her financially and romantically, she tries to adapt to her old French lifestyle, forced to choose between honesty and intimacy in her time back in Paris. This time around, the show's full-cast doubles in size. Currently, our list includes Lily Collins, Lucas Bravo, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Ashley Park, Samuel Arnold and Bruno Gouery. Joining them this season are Bryan Greenberg, Michèle Laroque, Thalia Besson and Eugenio Franceschini and Minnie Driver. Unfortunately, we will not be seeing our witty and notorious Parisian Camille anytime soon as her actress Camille Razat steps away from her role in the show. When asked about her role in the show going forward, the actress had this to say on Instagram 'my character's storyline has naturally come to an end.' Creators of the show confirmed this decision online, replying 'she will always be a part of the Emily in Paris world.'
