While a few keep working, some adapt a different approach and wait for a strong project to be offered. And the latter is the case with a budding actor, who's a son of a popular Bollywood figure. Well, we are talking about Ahan Shetty. Ahan was born on December 28, 1995, to Suniel and Mana Shetty. He has an elder sister, Athiya, who has now quit showbiz and is living away from the spotlight. Going by his social media handle, the 29-year-old seems to be a huge sports enthusiast. From football to shooting and tennis, he has never shied away from channeling his inner sportsman. Not only this, but the rookie actor maintains a sculpted physique by hitting the gym. One can notice several snaps from his gym and workout sessions on his social media profile. Coming to his career, Ahan Shetty marked his debut with the romantic action drama film Tadap (2021). Directed by Milan Lutharia, the movie featured Tara Sutaria as the female lead. Touted to be a remake of a hit Telugu film, RX 100. Unfortunately, it couldn't do wonders at the box office, and Tadap flopped drastically. Since then, Ahan didn't sign any project, but now, he's betting big on one of the most anticipated movies, Border 2. Yes, you read that right! The Tadap actor will be seen sharing screens with Sunny Deol in the sequel of Border. Helmed by Anurag Singh, the upcoming installment also stars Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh. Border 2 is scheduled to release in cinemas next year during the Republic Day weekend. On the other hand, Ahan was set to star alongside Pooja Hegde in a movie titled Sanki, backed by Sajid Nadiadwala. However, according to the reports, the project has been put on the back burner. Well, as of now, the young actor has taken up 'mama' duty as Athiya welcomed a baby girl with her husband, KL Rahul.

Hera Pheri 3: Suniel Shetty recalls son Ahan's reaction to Paresh Rawal's exit and it represents every fan of comedy caper

The internet is yet not being able to come to terms with Paresh Rawal aka Baburao's exit from Hera Pheri 3. The legal battle between the veteran actor and Akshay Kumar's production house has already started. On the other hand, Suniel Shetty also reacted to Rawal's exit from the comedy-caper while he also recalled his son Ahan's reaction. During a recent interview with The Lallantop, Suniel Shetty talked about his camaraderie and bond with Akshay Kumar over the years. He went on to remember how most recently they had shot for the promo of Hera Pheri 3, a reason why he was extremely shocked by Paresh Rawal 's exit. He mentioned that the continuity, understanding, and the give and take were so amazing within them that it didn't feel like they were shooting with Priyadarshan after 25 years. "That's why I am in a state of shock, jab Paresh ji ne aur Paresh ji ne khud daala hua hai ye ki main nahin kar raha hoon (when Paresh ji himself posted that he wasn't doing the film) for whatever reason toh it's a shocker." The veteran actor stated that it was the biggest excitement not only for him but also for Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, their families, and fans. He went on to recall his son, Ahan Shetty 's reaction upon learning about the exit of Rawal. He shared, "I think Ahan bahar tha to Ahan ne aaj mujhe vo cutting bheja aur bole (Ahan was out and sent me a cutting and said), 'Papa, what happened? Why?" Pinkvilla exclusively informed you that Akshay Kumar's production house, Cape of Good Films, had sent a legal notice to Rawal claiming damages worth Rs 25 crore for the amount invested in the film due to his unprofessional behavior. Days later, on Sunday (May 25), responding to the legal notice wrote on his X, "My lawyer, Ameet Naik, has sent an appropriate response regarding my rightful termination and exit. Once they read my response all issues will be laid to rest." On the professional front, Suniel will be next seen in Welcome to the Jungle, led by Akshay Kumar. Directed by Ahmed Khan, the film is scheduled to release later this year.

Suniel Shetty comes out swinging over alleged ‘smear campaign' targeting son Ahan ahead of Border 2 release

In a candid and emotionally charged interview, Bollywood veteran Suniel Shetty has spoken out against what he describes as a 'deliberate and malicious' smear campaign targeting his son, actor Ahan Shetty. The younger Shetty, who is currently working on Border 2 - a sequel to the iconic 1997 war film in which Suniel played a defining role - is allegedly facing industry backlash for prioritising the patriotic project over other film offers. Speaking to Zoom Entertainment, Suniel Shetty warned that he would not stay silent if the negativity continues, and made it clear that he would expose the individuals responsible for sabotaging Ahan's career. 'If this continues, I will hold a press conference and expose each and every person's name. Jiski dhajjiyan udani hain, uda dunga. That child's obsession is Border,' he declared. According to Shetty, Ahan had several film offers on the table but chose Border 2 due to its emotional and national significance. Suniel revealed that he advised his son to treat the film as if it were his final role - so lasting and iconic is the legacy of the original Border, which continues to be revisited on national holidays like Independence Day and Republic Day. 'He missed out on a lot because of the ego of others. He was thrown out of those films, and he was blamed for it in the press. They said that he has a 10-person entourage; people paid lots of money to get negative articles written about him,' said Suniel. What particularly angers Shetty is the suggestion that Ahan maintains a large entourage - something he attributes to jealousy from those upset over the younger actor's decision to prioritise Border 2. Suniel suggested that the negativity was orchestrated to damage Ahan's image and pave the way for competing projects. Dismissing any claims of entitlement or nepotism, Suniel added, 'I still pay for my own food. I spend my own money to this day, not the producer's. And that's how Ahan has been raised. Do you think I don't have connections? Do you think I can't do the same thing?' Border 2 was announced on June 13, 2024. It was revealed that Sunny Deol will be returning in the sequel. The film will be helmed by Kesari director Anurag Singh, and will also feature Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, and Kapil Sharma, in the lead roles. The film is scheduled to release on Republic Day 2026.
