Saudi Pavilion Wraps Up Esports Showcase at Expo 2025 Osaka
The Saudi Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka successfully concluded its two-day esports event, 'Esports: Game On,' held at the Festival Station Hall. Designed to spotlight Saudi Arabia's booming esports industry, the event combined gaming with cultural experiences, offering visitors a dynamic fusion of tradition and innovation. It brought together gamers, creatives, and fans, underscoring the Kingdom's ambitions to become a global esports powerhouse.
A key feature was the spotlight on the ongoing Esports World Cup in Riyadh, alongside interactive zones curated by the Qiddiya Investment Company and the Saudi Esports Federation. These zones highlighted Saudi Arabia's expanding footprint in the global esports scene and featured a hands-on gaming arena, an immersive photo wall, and a showcase football match hosted by the Saudi Esports Federation.
Beyond esports, the pavilion offered a rich lineup of live cultural and artistic performances, blending heritage with modern creativity. Highlights included the 'Ahlan wa Sahlan' (Welcome) and 'We Are Saudi Arabia' programs, the augmented reality experience 'The Botanist,' live music, interactive studios, and seven themed exhibition halls. These halls—such as Evolving Cities , Sustainable Seas , Unlimited Human Potential , and The Pinnacle of Innovation —gave visitors a compelling look at Saudi Arabia's vision and growing influence on the world stage.
