Turkey, Egypt Align on Artifact Repatriation: Hopes Rise for Future Returns
By Ahmad El-Assasy The recent return of the Roman-era sculpture of Emperor Marcus Aurelius to Turkey has highlighted growing momentum in the global campaign to repatriate smuggled cultural artifacts. Turkish and Egyptian officials have emphasized their shared stance on the issue, underscoring their determination to retrieve and protect their nations' heritage. A Turkish official expressed optimism that the successful return of the Aurelius statue will pave the way for similar breakthroughs for Egypt. He noted that countless Egyptian antiquities have been looted and trafficked abroad over the decades, and highlighted that Turkey has already returned a number of these artifacts in the past. 'The Turkish and Egyptian positions are identical when it comes to the smuggling of antiquities and the necessity of returning them to their countries of origin,' the official said. 'We are hopeful that this critical return marks the beginning of greater cooperation between our nations in this area.' The official also praised the role of Professor Khaled al-Anany, Egypt's former Minister of Antiquities and current head of UNESCO, as a potentially powerful advocate for the international repatriation of stolen heritage. 'With al-Anany at UNESCO, we hope Egypt and Turkey can work more closely to advance this joint cause and secure similar successes,' the official added. Both countries have long histories of cultural plunder by colonial powers and private collectors. In recent years, they have stepped up efforts to reclaim their treasures through diplomacy, legal channels, and public awareness campaigns. The renewed cooperation between Ankara and Cairo signals a strategic alliance that could lead to further returns of artifacts illegally removed from both nations. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks

US Envoy to Syria Urges Peace and Dialogue to Resolve Crisis
By Ahmad El-Assasy U.S. Special Envoy to Syria, Thomas Barak, has emphasized the urgent need for peace and dialogue as the only viable path to resolve the ongoing crisis in Syria, warning that the country stands at a critical crossroads. In remarks reported by Al-Qahera News Channel on Sunday, Barak called on all factions in Syria to lay down their arms immediately, stating that continued violence by armed groups undermines the authority of the Damascus government and obstructs efforts toward national reconciliation. Barak's comments come amid a surge in regional and international calls for de-escalation, as Syria continues to grapple with internal divisions, economic collapse, and post-conflict instability. The U.S. envoy reiterated that achieving peace requires the collective will of all Syrian parties to engage in dialogue over confrontation, and to commit to a political process that reflects the aspirations of the Syrian people. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks

Palestinian PM, UNDP Discuss Emergency Relief Efforts in Gaza and West Bank
By Ahmad El-Assasy Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa met with the newly appointed UNDP Special Representative in Palestine, Jaco Cilliers, to discuss ongoing relief efforts and emergency response coordination in Gaza, amid worsening humanitarian conditions. The meeting was also attended by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Stephane Salameh, and Minister of Social Development, Samah Hamad. According to WAFA News Agency, the discussions focused on strengthening joint work with international relief organizations operating in Gaza, and improving coordination through the government's central operations room overseeing emergency response. Prime Minister Mustafa emphasized the critical role of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in supporting the Palestinian people, contributing to national development, and enhancing the capacity of state institutions through institutional reform and infrastructure support. Urgent Appeal to Open Crossings into Gaza Mustafa stressed the urgent need to intensify international pressure to fully open Gaza's crossings to allow the entry of life-saving aid, warning of a deepening famine affecting hundreds of thousands of Palestinians in the besieged enclave. He called for coordinated relief and emergency interventions, not only in Gaza but also in response to escalating violence in the West Bank, particularly the northern areas where Israeli forces and settlers have launched repeated raids, demolished refugee camps, and destroyed critical infrastructure. The Prime Minister also emphasized the importance of supporting families affected by ongoing settler attacks and military operations, especially in Jerusalem and other vulnerable parts of the West Bank. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks

Syria Sends Emergency Medical Convoy to Suwayda Amid Ceasefire Implementation
By Ahmad El-Assasy The Syrian Ministry of Health announced the immediate dispatch of a fully equipped medical convoy to Suwayda Governorate, following recent security developments in the southern region. In an official statement, the ministry said the convoy includes 20 advanced ambulances accompanied by highly specialized and ready-to-deploy medical teams, as well as large quantities of emergency medications and supplies. 'This deployment is part of our national and professional duty to ensure the continuity of health services for all Syrians,' the statement read. The convoy will depart within hours, following direct coordination with the Governor of Suwayda, and in response to the need to establish safe humanitarian corridors. Ceasefire Takes Effect in Suwayda The move comes after the Syrian presidency announced a ceasefire agreement on Saturday evening between Bedouin tribes and local Druze factions in Suwayda, following days of unrest. All parties were urged to adhere strictly to the agreement, with accountability measures in place for any violations. The deal includes a 48-hour implementation window, after which the situation will be reevaluated. Later the same day, Interior Ministry spokesperson Noureddin Al-Baba confirmed that all tribal fighters had been evacuated from Suwayda, and that all internal clashes had ceased. The dispatch of the medical convoy underscores the Syrian government's efforts to stabilize the area and respond to urgent humanitarian needs as the ceasefire agreement begins to take effect. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks

Dozens of Palestinians Injured in Settler and Israeli Army Attack on Al-Mughayyir Village
By Ahmad El-Assasy Dozens of Palestinians suffered suffocation injuries on Saturday after Israeli settlers, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, attacked the village of Al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah. According to Amin Abu Alia, Head of the Al-Mughayyir Village Council, settler groups attempted to storm the village from the eastern side, prompting local residents to confront them. Israeli forces then raided the village to secure the settler assault, firing toxic tear gas canisters at civilians and homes, leading to multiple injuries from gas inhalation. Arrest and Checkpoints in Bethlehem In a related development, Israeli forces detained a Palestinian citizen for several hours at a surprise military checkpoint near the town of Al-Shawawra, east of Bethlehem. A Palestinian security source said the man, identified as Abu Shaeira, was stopped and held before being released later. The Israeli military also erected multiple flying checkpoints across Bethlehem Governorate, particularly at the entrances of Joura Al-Shamaa (south), and Wadi Fukin and Husan (west), causing significant disruption to local movement. Additionally, a military checkpoint was set up at the entrance to Ash Ghurab, east of Bethlehem, where Israeli forces inspected vehicles and ID cards, further slowing traffic. The Ash Ghurab road is a vital link between southern and northern West Bank regions. Continued Raids in Al-Khader Israeli forces also stormed several neighborhoods in the town of Al-Khader, south of Bethlehem. No arrests were reported, though residents reported an intimidating military presence. Bethlehem has seen a notable escalation in Israeli military operations in recent weeks, including frequent raids, checkpoint installations, and tight restrictions on movement, in what locals describe as a deliberate campaign to disrupt daily life and intensify pressure on residents. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks
