LSU football receives prediction to land elite 2027 recruit

LSU football receives prediction to land elite 2027 recruit LSU football is closing in on a big addition to its 2025 recruiting class LSU football is predicted to land 2027's top tight end recruit, according to On3. Ahmad Hudson is expected to commit to the Tigers, per On3's Steve Wiltfong. He says head coach Brian Kelly has increased momentum with Hudson, putting them ahead of a host of SEC schools. A three-star prospect and the No. 2 recruit in Louisiana per On3's Industry Rankings, Hudson is scheduled for a junior day in Baton Rouge on February 1. He had one at Baylor on January 26 and will travel to Alabama on March 22. It's still early in the 2027 recruiting cycle, but if Hudson continues this pace, he's got a chance to finish as a five-star recruit. A commitment from Hudson would further solidify that Kelly's approach to recruiting the state of Louisiana is working. The 2026 class already has five homegrown players and more are expected to be added. "Hudson is six-foot-seven, 235 pounds," Wiltfong said. "He is a ferocious player on the basketball court as well." The physical traits are all there for the 2027 prospect. Adding Hudson early in the 2027 cycle would be huge for the Tigers from a national perspective and within their state. His campus visit this weekend will be a storyline to follow.
